Fernando was an excellent host and very accommodating. We arrived late, 1030 p.m. and he was there to welcome us to his apartment. Since this was our first time in Rome, he arranged a taxi to pick up us from the airport. He had a box of pasta with local sauce, a bottle of red wine, and cookies waiting for us. This was very helpful since we were all very hungry after an 18 hours flight. The apartment was great, in a good location, and safe neighborhood (and the lift was a good addition especially for my in-laws). There were six of us traveling and the apartment suited us very well. Fernando arranged additional transportation for my family and I during our check-out making sure we made it to our destination safely. Fernando was a very good host and accommodating. We enjoyed out time at Fernando's apartment. I highly recommend him to everyone.
First off, Fernando was a fantastic host who was there to greet us even when we arrived late to Rome. He gave us detailed information about the rental, but then answered many questions we had about Rome in general. Fernando is very familiar with the city and gave us tips on where to go, when to be there & what to avoid.
The rental itself was very nice - you can tell it was a family home that's been taken care of for generations. The rooms were spacious and accommodated our family of five perfectly. The cherry on top was the fruit basket, wine and essentials that Fernando left for us. I don't know what I was thinking when I booked the airplane flight, but we were starving by the time we arrived. It was like Fernando was a mind reader - a meal never tasted so good!
We didn't have any major problems during our stay. The only thing we were hoping for would have been a dryer for our clothes, but we just left our clothes on the rack overnight. There were also a couple of additional fees, such as a Rome city tax (nominal cost per person) and €30 for cleaning.
The place itself was very nice, a short walk to the metro. Lots of small grocery stores on the way of you're a family trying to save money.
We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and Fernando's hospitality was a big part of that. We had to leave early and he was there at early hours to help us check out. Great place, good location and a fantastic host. I can't recommend Fernando's rental enough, especially to families who need a bit of extra elbow room.
The apartment was beautiful and very clean. We arrived early in the morning and Fernando met us at the apartment. We were allowed to check in early, which we appreciated very much after traveling for over 18 hours. He was very helpful and gave us many recommendations of where to eat and how to be safe in Italy.
The kitchen is stocked very well. He graciously left us wine, pasta to cook and a large plate of fresh fruit. There are several places to get groceries on the street where the apartment is located.
The apartment is on the 4th floor but the lift works just fine. The apartment is located around the corner from the bus stop which easily gets you to all the attractions within 5 to 10 minutes.
The only con is a lot of the street noise can be heard at night, so if you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs.
We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. We traveled with young children and felt very safe in the apartment and neighborhood.
Great experience! Fernando was very welcoming and extremely helpful during our stay: ordering us a taxi to and from the airport and sharing his great local knowledge. We had a wonderful welcome, coffee and food and wine and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious and clean family apartment. 6 of us stayed and the facilities worked well for us. The apartment is situated in a safe location which makes travel to the sights very easy either walking or by metro. During our stay we shopped and ate locally: had a wonderful meal at Il Sorriso. Really enjoyed daily trips to the ice cream shop Romano just around the corner from the apartment- possibly the best gelataria in the world: brioche and ice cream for lunch is worth a try on a hot day! Wouldnt hesitate to return and hope to some day.
This apartment was fantastic! Roomy, quiet, well maintained and very centrally located. Fernando was very responsive to all emails and requests. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Fernando for all that you did for us.
The apartment was great, Fernando was great, what can I say..from Fernando booking taxi enabling speedy arrival, well equipped roomy apartment with everything possible that you require to make your holiday comfortable...even fresh fruit/wine etc provided. We were family of 6 (all women) and there was plenty of hot water for all our showers. The apartment was very clean, bedrooms lovely and bright. I just can't fault it. The area had some good restaurants and lovely small shops/delis including the best ice-cream parlour in town just a couple of minutes away... yes we queued at 00.30 hrs to try it. We fitted everything into our 3 days but if we'd messed around with public transport we would have lost half a day on arrival so the taxi was a good decision. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment, well suited for families/friends. We respected that this was Fernandos home and I think this was appreciated. We had a long weekend in Rome, perfect time of year and the young ones in our party loved the 31 degrees. We were told by a few people that we could get to the coast in 40 mins so an option if you have longer in Rome and want to escape the heat. Just remember the dustbin lorries work through the night so light sleepers may need ear plugs. We all agreed that the apartment was (email hidden)d believe me our daughters are very honest and we didn't get any negatives from them so thumbs up from all of us.
