Cozy apartment is a comfortable and light apartment with a view of Taiwan's architectural icon, Taipei 101. The apartment provides you a comfortable environment to relax after a day of travelling and/or sightseeing.
Cozy apartment is centrally located in downtown Taipei on Nanjing East Road, one of the city's main arteries with good connections to everything Taipei has to offer for both tourists and business purposes.
Public transportation stops right in front of the building, with lines going to various touristic hotspots in the city, including Tapei Main Railway Station, MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, MRT Taipei City Hall Station, Nangang TWTC, restaurants, convenient stores, ATM and the famous Raohe Street Night Market are within walking distance. Also, the shopping area (東區) and the most popular bars and clubs (Taipei 101 area) are nearby as well. 24hrs security service ensures your belongings are safe at all time.
Cozy apartment is the perfect place to stay if you want to fully focus on enjoying Taipei's day- and nightlife! Nevertheless, it is also the best choice for business purpose guests because it's easy to commute to all major business districts in Taipei and Taipei 101 area, and it is quiet at nights to relax after a day of business.

Before my trip, Prue was responsive and friendly. Once I checked in I did not hear back from Prue regarding a question/request I had written. I wrote my request on a Sunday and did not receive a reply by Wednesday when I left. I did not pursue the matter further as it was not a big deal but I only got a reply after my review of the property was online. Sure it was Chinese New Year Holiday period but 4 days is a long time not to respond under any circumstances. Had I not brought up this issue in my review the host would never have even admitted to 'missing' my email.
I have mixed feelings about the room. While it was clean and orderly, the room on the 13th floor was directly above an elevated highway with cars zooming by at all times of the day and night. It was worst during rush hour in the morning starting at 7AM.
I'm not sure if the windows in my room were faulty or if the other 4 rooms Prue owns facing the same side were better but while my windows were closed the noise coming from the highway below was quite loud. This has nothing to do with Taipei being a busy city; there are lots of quiet places in the downtown core that one can stay in. I stayed at a nice hotel that was also on Nanjing East Road that was above the road and it was quiet (not to mention 20% cheaper!). The elevated highway below the room was definitely a noise factor and I'm surprised nobody mentioned it in previous reviews. I am based in Hong Kong with a population 3 times that of Taipei so I am no stranger to noise and traffic. I have posted photos I took and screen shots of Prue's apartment buidling and the elevated roadway (msg me and I'll send you the link as it cannot be shown here).
Also, from a public transport standpoint, although I read Chinese and have traveled China/Taiwan extensively, it is not reasonable to expect a western or non-Chinese speaking traveler to use the bus as the routes are circuitous and often difficult (even for me) to figure out. Prue wrote that public transport stops right in front of the building but actually these are just the bus stops with infrequent bus times. The closest MRT station is a good 15-20 min walk which is fine in the winter but in a Taipei summer that is a very sweaty proposition.
In closing, I won't be staying at Prue's place again due to the noise of the elevated highway below the room. Definitely not recommended for light sleepers as according to Prue we light sleepers should avoid the big city and only book rooms in the countryside (her words not mine!). Ridiculous..
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, Derrick. I am surprised to read about your issues in this review.
I have missed only one of your emails with a question regarding storing luggage after check-out. I'm sorry to have not replied to this email, but Airbnb is a community based service and one cannot expect 24/7 hotel service and immediate reply, especially during public holidays (Chinese New Year). I also have a full-time job and other responsibilities like most of the hosts and guests. Besides email and Airnbnb message, I do provide other means of direct communication like phone in case of any questions or issues so I wonder why Derrick didn't use one of these to make me aware of his question.
It's the first time someone is making notice of traffic sounds. Traffic is one of the downsides of choosing to stay in the center of Taipei City where 2.7 million people live and work. I recommend guests like Derrick to stay in the more quiet suburbs or countryside.
I got the opportunity to stay at two listings owned by Pure. I actually like this one much better than the comfy apt. This room the layout is much more efficient and it does feel cozy- great for what you pay for at this price, clean, well maintained in general.
The room is clean and the environment around the apartment is quiet. Laundry facilities are provided which is very useful for travelers. The wifi connection is also good. We were able to see Taipei 101 during the day but the view at night was not so good and we were a little disappointed.
Overall, we had a good stay at Prue's apartment.
Prue was a great host, the apartment was very cosy and location was great!

Only stayed one night, but the room was perfect and Prue was so helpful with all my questions and need for advice. Thank you Prue!!! The location is a little out of the way from the MRT, but I found ut great with all the advice and tips on how to get around from Prue.
Prue is a very gracious and responsive host! We stayed at her Cozy Apt. for 4 nights and enjoyed our time there. Size-wise it is like a small hotel room but since we were out most of the day, returning only to shower and sleep (firm bed which suited us), it worked just great. Everything went smoothly from reservation to check-in to check-out. Prue had left complimentary bottled water and small cracker snacks which was nice. We also appreciated having laundry facilities (and detergent) available on site! This unit is last at the end of the corridor so is relatively quiet (typical city traffic noise, no rowdy neighbor noise). Though the unit is smoke-free, we did smell cigarette smoke on that floor. Conveniently located to various shopping, eating places and bus (not light rail) transportation. Good for solo or maximum couple guest. Excellent short stay. Thanks Prue!
The room I had is smaller than I expected, but it has enough sleeping space for my wife and me. Can take bus 306/307 as early as 5:30 am to where metro/Railroad stations are, or 204 to Taipei 101. Can also walk to RaoHe nightly market for fun. Unfortunately, did not get a chance to meet Prue personally. However, know the security guard pretty well and he kept us safe.
I have to say thumbs up for the host Prue, and she has been very patient to solve all my enquiries for the apartment. The room is clean and nice for sole or couple vacation. Location was good and near city area where you can shop around and great foods! I will definitely come back again for the apartment for my next trip to Taiwan!
Prue was a really nice and helpful host. She gave us a comprehensive user manual for our stay in one of her apartment, which includes almost all the information that we need for going around, sightseeing, shopping, dinning, and so on. We asked for one extra towel for my daughter on the first morning, which we found right in front of our door when we came back from shopping that day. We were very impressed for the quick action. Prue also helped us to find a luggage storage near Taipei main station, which made the rest of our trip so much easier. Definitely recommend
to family and friends!
