Dexter was a very humble host! He was quiet when at home so I barely noticed him there yet happy to strike up conversation if prompted. The house is clean and neat, the exposed brick and paint decay definitely add to the authentic Brooklyn experience. I stayed in the smallest of the rooms which was perfect as I was out most of the day, yet comfortable at night whilst exploring Netflix. Overall an extremely comfortable stay. A well seasoned host! Thanx Dexter!
Good host with very good location. Apartment was comfortable and cozy. A lot of people in and out which is nice if you want to meet new people in New York! Mostly tourists but it was good!
The room is just as you see it here, super cozy. A little small for two, but perfect for one. The house is nice and very welcoming. Dexter is a great host, he makes sure your stay is perfect. The location is also good, not far from the subway, that takes you to Manhattan in 20 min. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in staying in Brooklyn.
Derek is a nice host, the room was very comfortable and quiet. The house it's well equipped and clean.
The neighborhood is interesting and secure. The house is well located and has Subways and Bus station very close from it.
Dexter is a cool guy and his place was better than any place I stayed at in NYC so far! It is clean, cozy and well situated, not far from the subway station. Definitely 5 stars
I loved staying at Dexter's place. The apartment is gorgeous - both the apartment itself, and what Dexter has brought to it. I could tell that Dexter takes great pride in his place, and in making sure that his guests have a great experience. When I had a special request, he bent over backwards to accomodate me. Dexter's hospitality, and the serenity & comfort of staying at his place, were important factors in how awesome my last trip to New York was. Thank you, Dexter!
Dexter is very nice and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay in his place. It's charming, welcoming, quiet and cosy. We used to start each day with a take away breakfast from the Rabbit Moon which is just outside the apartment (nice guys there too). I miss this morning ritual!
Thank you Dexter!!!

About the Host, Dexter
My name's Dexter. I am a visual artist living and working in Brooklyn. I grew up in The Bronx with roots to the Dominican Republic. I studied architecture at SUNY Buffalo and Yale School of Architecture. A traveler at heart, I've had the fortune to see places around the world: Mexico City and Antwerp in Belgium I once called home, while I've made several stops in India, Oaxaca, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam.
I hope you make this your first stop in NYC.
If so, I'll see you soon!
