LOCATION:(ideal part of Dubrovnik for vacation )
The apartment is situated in Dubrovnik neighborhood west side from center, near famous Dubrovnik bridge .
The beaches there are ideal for those looking for clear sea and plenty of sunshine. If you are looking for entertainment, cultural events or simply a place to unwind, you will certainly find it in Dubrovnik.
The city of Dubrovnik is situated in the very south of the Republic of Croatia. The geographical position of the area is typical of the classic Mediterranean or 'estasian' climate with mild and damp winters, and hot dry summers at quite low air humidity .
The average air temperature is 20°C and the summer sea temperature is 24°C approx. A maximum variation of 4°C is very beneficial to the nervous system and general health. There are many sunny days during the winter months. The gentle Maestral - the messenger of lovely weather, refreshes the average summer temperature of 27°C whereas during the cooler months, the Bura and Jugo winds prevail. The city encloses the Elaphite archipelago (Sipan, Lopud, Kolocep, Tajan, Olipa, Jakljan and Daksa).
Daria's apartment was great. Clean, comfortable, with a nice patio and view. It was a few steps up as people have mentioned, but it wasn't awful, especially considering old town and walking the city walls requires many more steps. We recommend this apartment. It was perfectly as advertised and she was able to accommodate our very late check in. Also, right down the road
In lozica is konoba dubrovnik, which offered a fun evening and delicious meal.
We loved this apartment! The view is wonderful from the small front deck. I agree with the other reviewers that the little restaurant down the road (towards the bridge) is delicious and very friendly. The grilled squid was terrific.
I think Daria should mention that you have to climb 88 steps to get from the garage at street level up to the apartment. That was not a problem for us, but if you have bad health, you wouldn't want a surprise like that.
For sure take the walking trip on the Dubrovnik wall - it was outstanding. We're not much into shopping, so we didn't spend a lot of time walking around the old city. We rented kayaks at the beach - I'd recommend it. It's also worth it to go to the top of mount Srd. We had a car, but took the cable car because it looked like fun. Keep your ticket because you need it scanned again to get back down. The entrance is really close to the old town - just follow the cables.
I highly recommend you check the cruise ship schedule and pick a day with the least amount of cruise ship load if you can. There's web sites that list this info for whatever dates you want to see.
I'd certainly stay here again.
Never met Daria, but what an amazing place! Be warned that it is 90 steps up to the apartment, and you'll definitely want a car if you plan to visit old town Dubrovnik. But, its an incredible view of the sea, a quiet retreat from the city crowds, and close to the "beach" (another big bunch of steps down to rocky shores). We loved the place and would recommend it highly.
was a great place a little outside of dubrovnik! We never met Daria only spoke on the phone when organizing how we would check in. She organized a ride from the bus station to the place so it was very nice and easy. The place itself was very nice and clean and comfortable. One thing was that we didnt rent a car and were not able to figure out where to get the bus that goes into dubrovnik and taxi's werent overly cheap so would recommend having transportation. We ended up renting a scooter for really cheap so it worked out and was much more convenient than waiting on a bus anyways. would recommend this place, thanks!
Our stay overall was a pleasant one. The house is cosy as the description states and having a view that overlooks the sea in the morning and evenings is fantastic. The area is peaceful and quiet which is a nice change of pace from busy old town. Sadly we never met or spoke to Daria outside of the initial booking but Roberto saw us in and was there to help provide assistance whenever we needed it.
The distance from old town is quite far if you don't have means of transport such as a car and the buses are extremely infrequent (I can't quite recall but perhaps running roughly 6 times between 7am to 5pm, meaning you'll have to cut your days out short) and requires you to take two separate buses to get into town. However, Roberto provided us with a cheap taxi service and whenever we needed it.
There's a local beach only 4 minutes away from the flat that provides great views, sunbathing and swimming (in the crystal clear waters). I also absolutely have to recommend visiting the local restaurant - Konoba Dubrovnik, 5 minutes down the road. I can't stress how wonderful and friendly the owner Dianna is and the food they serve is top notch delicious. It's a definite must and her hospitality helped make our holiday.
If you want a relaxing, stress free stay in Dubrovnik and have a car I would warmly recommend this cosy apartment.
We really enjoyed our stay! The photos are what you get! A beautiful view from the kitchen and patio to enjoy coffee! Everything at the apartment that we needed! Very close to town and the free parking was a great addition. We weren't sure of the address when we arrived, but the local restaurant knew Daria and called her, her friend came to the restaurant and drive with us to the suite!
We would highly recommend this place!
We had a great few days in Dubrovnik. Daria was a pleasure to deal with. She was quick to communicate, welcoming and made our first Air BNB experience a pleasurable one.
The apartment is great, in a good location and we would love to stay again when we next come to Dubrovnik ... Thank you.
We had some problem with the WIFI in the apartment in the beginning but it was ok since we were not often in the apartment.
it was really nice to be a guest in daria' s appartment! it's very clean, modern and has a nice view to the sea! if you don't have a car or a scooter you are a bit depend from the bus service (runs till 6 p.m.) or a taxi (about 15 euros each way). that's not perfect but totally okay!
We really enjoyed our time in Dubrovnik! The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed watching the sun set over the water from the small patio each evening. Old Town is about 20 minutes by bus from the apartment. The bus runs twice in the morning and every hour in the afternoon until about 5pm. There is one restaurant within walking distance (about 5 minutes) that serves traditional Croatian food. The supermarket is about 3 km from the apartment, and is difficult to access by foot, as the main road is windy and does not have a shoulder. However, Daria and Roberto were very accomodating. Roberto offers discounted taxi service into Old Town and drove us to the supermarket on the first night free of charge, and Daria allowed us to leave our luggage with her our last day before we headed to the airport. Would highly recommend this apartment, especially if you have access to a car.
Very nice appartment located 15min away from Dubrovnik by car. The flat is new, very cosy and well-equipped. A small beach is accessible 5min by foot.
We haven't met Daria but her husband who showed us the appartment.
