Enjoy Lake Atitlan's only vegan B&B/retreat.
Three-course vegan dinner is available (additional cost).
Beautiful setting. Quiet and private.
We also have a Lake View room: see the listing titled Stunning Lake View Vegan Retreat.
On the shore of Lake Atitlan, surrounded by volcanoes in the highlands of Guatemala, lies a unique destination: Lake Villa Guatemala, the Vegan Villa.
A private lakefront villa with spacious guest rooms, luxurious grounds, beautiful views, and thoughtfully prepared plant-based whole food cuisine.
This is not a typical B&B. We create a one-of-a-kind experience.
We know how difficult travel can be when you follow a vegetarian, vegan, kosher, raw, or gluten free diet. We create delicious meals to satisfy your requirements and taste, taking full advantage of the amazing local produce (including some from our own organic garden).
Breakfast includes fresh fruit, homemade baked goods, and tea or the best coffee ever! Lunches are available for those who don't want to be out exploring. Every night we offer a 3-course vegan dinner (soup or salad, entree, and dessert).
This is the perfect place to explore the south side of Lake Atitlán. Take walks on our private road, kayak and swim from our private dock. Take a tour of the lake in our luxurious private boat (additional cost). Hike nearby Cerro de Oro or San Pedro Volcano. Enjoy the hot tub on our spacious patio with lake views.
Our rooms are $100/night for one or two people, plus $15 for each additional guest (up to four).
The house is 4000 square feet, so there is plenty of space in the two living rooms and dining area. And that doesn't include the beautiful outdoor spaces, including two patios and a palapa with picnic table and hammocks.
Discover the secrets of Atitlán: Mayan bone healers, fire ceremonies, chocolate ceremonies, walking tours with local guides. We can arrange them all for you.
We're off the beaten bath. Transportation can be arranged by taxi, private van, and our private boat.
Laundry facilities available at no charge with stays of five nights or more.
Guests have access to the whole house except for other bedrooms. Guests also have access to all garden areas and our lakeshore.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction depends on your preferences. We typically take meals together, but if you prefer, you may have private meals.
This is a very quiet neighborhood, mostly vacation homes of Guatemalans from the city who only visit occasionally. We're surrounded by trees, giving the feel of a private park.
The locals travel by hopping in the back of a pickup truck or taking a tuc tuc. We're 1km down a private road, off the main road that runs between Santiago Atitlan and San Lucas Toliman. Most of my guests opt to have me drive them into town, which I do for a small fee to cover costs. Guests often choose to take private tours on my boat. I usually arrange private transportation between Lake Villa Guatemala from Guatemala City or Antigua, as shuttles don't come to this side of the lake.
We are a tobacco-free environment.

Your hosts at Lake Villa Guatemala are Traci and Mark.
Traci originally from California, USA. She retired from a career in training and technical communication with a Fortune 100 company in 2009. She spent two years visiting Guatemala and assisting with spiritual workshops before bringing the dream of a vegan B&B at Lake Atitlan to life. Traci loves to cook and introduce guests to the wonders of Lake Atitlan. She also loves to sing.
Mark first came to Guatemala in 1978, and soon made his home in Panajachel. His wealth of knowledge and entertaining stories about Guatemala give our guests a unique perspective. Mark is a musician who plays frequently around the Lake Atitlan area.
When they are not hosting guests, Traci and Mark often perform together in Panajachel.
