NOTE:
We believe in full disclosure and transparency in order to ensure the best experience for our guests. As such, please read and understand the below before you book our cottage to ensure expectations are aligned:
PRE-CHECK AND SAFETY: By booking this property the primary guest may need to complete a Pre Check-in Rental Information Form on behalf of the group where you will be asked to provide ages of all guests, full guest list, names, address, employer of the primary guest and a Photo ID of the primary guest etc. This information will be destroyed after each completed booking.
UNREGISTERED GUESTS: Unregistered guests could lead to immediate removal of all guests from property and loss of deposit and without a refund. Any additional guests above 8 people will incur a charge of $60/day per guest. If you want to accommodate more people, we can refer you to one of our neighbors with a larger space
PETS: Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets at this time as some of our guests have allergies. Bookings with pets discovered will incur a $500 deep cleaning fee.
MINOR CONSTRUCTION: Please note that the cottage was constructed in 2023 and is on top of the highest hilltop in the area. Although there is no construction noises in the immediate area and street, we have noticed occasional construction noises on the other side of the hill that could sometimes be heard during the afternoon. If all noise-proof windows are closed, little to no construction can be heard. Local laws prevent any construction during evenings and sleeping hours.
POWER OUTAGES: Power outages are very rare, but they do happen during severe weather. We have emergency supplies and lights that are available to guests. Power outages for our property typically last a few hours, with the longest being a day without power. If this occurs, please let us know and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
WINTER: We have hired people to shovel the private driveway during winter and the main road is plowed by the city. However, we are not responsible for the any issues with ice and snow on the driveway or on the road itself. Winter weather can be unpredictable in Muskoka for your convenience please be prepared to shovel or use snowblower if needed. The levels of snow vary greatly from the city
PESTS/SMALL ANIMALS: Please note that this property is located in cottage country so mosquitos, flies and in rare cases, small wild animal (including turkeys, field mice, foxes, deer, etc..) could be seen in the area. We have taken preventative measures to ensure these pests do not enter the cottage but cannot guarantee if they enter the property. We ask that windows and doors should be closed when not in use to prevent pests from entering the cottage.
