  • Modern super clean convenient location we had everything from kitchen ware to soap that we needed even a few beers in the fridge! Were able to walk to french quarter in about 10-15 minutes with no worries. We had our bikes with us so we were able to ride around new orleans as see all the sites. Would definitely stay there again when we come back. We even had a patio in the back of our apt to sit and relax.i believe it was 4 apartments in a shot gun style building very quiet area that is in transition and we we felt safe. Stores near by if you meed them but why bother great food is abundant. A most awesome apartment and great helpful hosts

  • I'm so glad we decided to stay at shiro's apartment. It's situated enough off the beaten path to feel like you are living in NOLA and close enough to the French quarter that you don't feel like you are missing out on anything. The apt was beautiful, especially the bedroom and the hosts were welcoming, helpful and attentive. It was clean and comfortable and made us feel so at home! Will definitely come back

  • We stayed at Shiro's for 5 days and it was absolutely perfect. The space was perfect for the two of us, and the apartment was just plain adorable! As for location, it was pretty much perfect! Being just outside of the French Quarter meant that we had peace and quiet when we wanted it. But it also meant that we were just a short walk from Bourbon St. when we wanted to go have some fun and party! Brian and Dawn were our hosts for the week and were very accommodating and friendly. Overall - great experience and would recommend it to all!

  • We had an absolutely fabulous time at Shiro's apartment! Whitney was great to work with. Everything went so smoothly, the place was clean and well appointed and looked exactly like the photos here. We called when we were about a block away and were met with keys, a walk-through of the apartment, and were left with some welcome beverages and breakfast treats--including coffee for the next morning, which made me very happy! The location was ideal. We were a little over a block away from Louis Armstrong Park, which is beautiful and full of history, and as it turned out was hosting a mini world rhythms music festival. We were a 5 minute--at most--walk to the French Quarter. We were meeting some local friends in the Quarter a couple of times but didn't want to stay in the Quarter. This location was the best of both worlds. My only regret is that we forgot to write in the guest book and leave recommendations for some of the amazing places to eat and see; but I don't think there's a lack of recommendations to be had. Thanks, Whitney! We will most certainly be back.

  • Whitney's place was absolutely perfect! I can't recommend it highly enough. I spent three nights there by myself and had the most wonderful time. Clean, bright, fully equipped with everything you could need, and a nice 20 minute stroll away from the French Quarter.

  • This place was amazing. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Hammock outside, private porch, nice yard, jacuzzi tub, heated mattress, great location. We loved it here and wished we could've stayed longer!

  • Oh how I wish we had had more time to stay at Whitney's place. The location was perfect, quiet and tranquil…but just blocks from all the craziness of Bourbon Street, The people that 'manage' the residence were great, funny and very helpful. The fact that Whitney had a few local brews in the fridge waiting for us was a bonus. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Whitney's place is great! We met with Brian who was helping with the property and he was very friendly and the check in was quick and easy. The apartment is clean and cute and the location is only blocks from the French Quarter. No doubt this is where we will stay every trip to Nola! Thanks to Whitney, Brian and Dawn for a great stay.

  • This a lovely little place just a short walk from French quarter. Billy met us at our convenience to let us in and the beer was a nice gesture:) 2 of us stayed 2 nights, ample room for both of us. Great stay! Also the can driver they recommended on their information sheet was the best!

  • This is a great apartment. Only few blocks from the quarter with a great shower/jacuzzi bath, which was greatly appreciated after being on my feet for 12 hours.
Clean, great bed and lots of room.

Hi! My name is Whitney and I am a New Orleans transplant. Originally from North Carolina- I have lived in New Orleans since July 2010. Although I miss North Carolina often, I have fallen in love with New Orleans- the food, the spirit of the people, the music, the culture, the history, the tradition and even my husband, Tom! New Orleans has treated me well and I hope to repay it the favor for many years to come. I have been an airbnb host since July 2012. The property was first listed on airbnb by the previous owner "Belinda." We want to be able to provide all of our guests with a quiet, nice and convenient place to stay as they take in all that New Orleans has to offer. We hope to meet with you soon and help to make your New Orleans experience memorable. Talk soon! Whitney (& Tom) :)
