Coyote Ridge Ranch room 1

House - Private room · Oak View Rd, Santa Ynez, CA 93460, United States

The Space

We are a guest house, detached from the main house, and not a bed and breakfast. On parle francais, e si parla italiano.
We have 3 bedrooms, and each listing is PER bedroom. Guest room 1 and guest room 2 are the same floor plan- only the decor is different. Room 3 is on the ground floor, and is slightly larger with a larger HDtv than rooms 1 or 2. All rooms have a 2 night minimum. Only room 3 has the possibility of pets, which must be authorized in advance.

Our 3 rooms, posted as 3 distinct Airbnb listings, are in a detached guest house 250 feet from our main home, with the 50' swimming pool, 8 person spa, and courtyard separating the 2 homes. There is a 1000 sq. foot, free standing 'common room,'with wi-fi, pool table, couches, large cafe table and chairs, bar, refrigerator, micro-wave, large toaster oven, and 60" HDTV.

Each room has its own entrance door to the outside, en suite bathroom with shower, queen bed, 400 thread count all cotton linens, fireplace or wood burning stove ( logs provided seasonally ), premium satellite HD tv. All Airbnb exterior pictures posted are valid for all 3 listings, as room 1 and room 2 are side by side, up an exterior staircase, and room 3 downstairs. We are located in the Santa Ynez Valley, home to over 150 wineries. The Danish village of Solvang is here also. We are 45 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara.
We are located on 20 acres, in the foothills, with commanding views of all the Santa Ynez Valley. We are slightly remote - 8 to 9 minutes to the highway- 12 minutes to Los Olivos and wine tasting.
Wifi is available in the Common room, and around the pool- hot tub area, but not in the guesthouse per se.
Because of the amenities and size of the property, and our location ,we do require a 2 night minimum.

  • Philip and Cassandra have built a wonderful oasis and we were fortunate enough to spend some quality time there. As hosts they are hard to match with fresh Italian coffee in the morning, great insight into the area, a lovely hot tub, full bocce court, complete game room and on and on.

In the end we were sad to leave their ranch but have a strong feeling we will return at some point and continue the good times.

  • Coyote Ridge Ranch is a hilltop paradise with gorgeous views across the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez wine country. Being a landscape designer, I was impressed by the extensive garden areas with beds full of giant succulents and exotic plantings, including gigantic Bird of Paradise in full bloom.

Our spacious bedroom, complete with private bath and comfy bed, was attractively decorated in earth tones and natural woods. A small log fire in the standalone fireplace took the chill off the night air.

The love and care that Phillip and Cassandra have put into their property over several decades is evident wherever you look. As hosts, their recommendations for restaurants and knowledge of the local vineyards were especially helpful to us, on our first visit to the area. Already I'm looking forward to the next time we stay!

  • Our stay was excellent. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. The location was remote and private yet convenient. And the property resembles something out of a romantic novel. Philip, though away, make sure to stay in touch before, during and after our stay to make sure all was in order. We look forward to returning.

  • Philip and Cassandra were very interesting, friendly and gracious hosts. They got reservations for my wife and me at a popular restaurant that had previously told me they were booked. The Coyote Ridge Ranch is heaven. I would love to live there myself! We'll be back.

  • What a wonderful time in a lovely location. We've been coming to the valley for years, but this was a new spot for us. A wonderful room, sprawling property, friendly pooches, and an occasional country critter made for a relaxing time-warp of a weekend. Philip and Cassandra pre-date the Sideways days, so they are perfect, low-key hosts who offer a hospitality that harkens back to a day long gone. Don't hesitate to book with them ... just leave some room for us, 'cause we're coming back!

  • Our hosts, Philip and Cassandra, were personable and professional, ensuring every single detail of our trip was in good order. Philip took the time to correspond with us on several occasions before and after the booking, and was very kind to keep in touch with us during our commute from Burbank to Santa Ynez.

The property is stupendous, reaching the tip of heaven; a stargazers dream! We were lucky enough to have stayed during an almost full moon, and it was celestial. We were up earlier enough our first morning there to view a blissful sunrise and watch an amazing variety of wild birds that live within the trees on the property.

Our room was large and sparkling clean, and gave the feeling of being in a treehouse as we were surrounded by magnificent trees. The bed and linens were very comfortable, and we had loads of closet and drawer space. The bathroom was basic, yet clean and supplied with fluffy towels and bath soap.

There's a wonderful public room/library filled with books, games, pool table, large screen tv and cozy seating, along with a kitchen and eating area. Its a perfect added bonus to an already stellar value.

Free parking convenient and behind a locked gate. The location is perfect; close by to Los Olivos, Solvang, Lompoc, and of course, Santa Ynez which boasts so many fabulous wineries, restaurants, and entertainment options such as the Chumash Casino, Mavricks County Western Bar with live music and dancing, and Alisal River Golf Course.

We look forward to staying at Coyote Ridge Ranch again, in the near future.

  • I had plans to do all local events, but once we got there, there was no way but to stay and enjoy their lovely place. Beautiful view of the sunset, huge pool and a fun common room. This place has it ALL! definitely a place to catch up on rest. Pillip and Cassandra are warm and friendly, so thankful to have met them. :) I hope to see them again soon!!

  • We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Coyote Ridge Ranch. Philip was so welcoming when we arrived and also checked to be sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The room was absolutely spotless and comfortable! And the property was beautiful. So much better than staying in a hotel. We were able to really relax and enjoy the place. Bocce ball & pool table were a bonus! We saw quite a few deer in the area and were able to get home-grown tomatoes on the road into the ranch! We'll be back again for sure. Thank you, Philip & Cassandra.
