We are a guest house, detached from the main house, and not a bed and breakfast. On parle francais, e si parla italiano.
We have 3 bedrooms, and each listing is PER bedroom. Guest room 1 and guest room 2 are the same floor plan- only the decor is different. Room 3 is on the ground floor, and is slightly larger with a larger HDtv than rooms 1 or 2. All rooms have a 2 night minimum. Only room 3 has the possibility of pets, which must be authorized in advance.
Our 3 rooms, posted as 3 distinct Airbnb listings, are in a detached guest house 250 feet from our main home, with the 50' swimming pool, 8 person spa, and courtyard separating the 2 homes. There is a 1000 sq. foot, free standing 'common room,'with wi-fi, pool table, couches, large cafe table and chairs, bar, refrigerator, micro-wave, large toaster oven, and 60" HDTV.
Each room has its own entrance door to the outside, en suite bathroom with shower, queen bed, 400 thread count all cotton linens, fireplace or wood burning stove ( logs provided seasonally ), premium satellite HD tv. All Airbnb exterior pictures posted are valid for all 3 listings, as room 1 and room 2 are side by side, up an exterior staircase, and room 3 downstairs. We are located in the Santa Ynez Valley, home to over 150 wineries. The Danish village of Solvang is here also. We are 45 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara.
We are located on 20 acres, in the foothills, with commanding views of all the Santa Ynez Valley. We are slightly remote - 8 to 9 minutes to the highway- 12 minutes to Los Olivos and wine tasting.
Wifi is available in the Common room, and around the pool- hot tub area, but not in the guesthouse per se.
Because of the amenities and size of the property, and our location ,we do require a 2 night minimum.

Philip and Cassandra have built a wonderful oasis and we were fortunate enough to spend some quality time there. As hosts they are hard to match with fresh Italian coffee in the morning, great insight into the area, a lovely hot tub, full bocce court, complete game room and on and on.
In the end we were sad to leave their ranch but have a strong feeling we will return at some point and continue the good times.
Coyote Ridge Ranch is a hilltop paradise with gorgeous views across the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez wine country. Being a landscape designer, I was impressed by the extensive garden areas with beds full of giant succulents and exotic plantings, including gigantic Bird of Paradise in full bloom.
Our spacious bedroom, complete with private bath and comfy bed, was attractively decorated in earth tones and natural woods. A small log fire in the standalone fireplace took the chill off the night air.
The love and care that Phillip and Cassandra have put into their property over several decades is evident wherever you look. As hosts, their recommendations for restaurants and knowledge of the local vineyards were especially helpful to us, on our first visit to the area. Already I'm looking forward to the next time we stay!
Phillip was a super nice guy. Very knowledgeable about the whole area. Runs a great leather goods business, as well. His ranch is very charming and peaceful. Room has a cool little fireplace. Looking forward to going back sometime.
Philip & Cassandra's ranch must be one of the nicest places on earth! Beautiful grounds, a hot tub under the stars, wonderful hosts, perfect cappuccinos -- I couldn't have dreamed up a better place to stay. We will be back for sure. Next time we'll make sure to play bocce ball and stay for longer.
Lovely and secluded spot! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Our first stay via AirBnb ever and a perfect experience! Philip and family are extremely friendly and helpful. It was truely a pleasue to get to know them!
And the ranch is truely a dream: Located on top of a scenic hill overlooking the wine region. Totally secluded with great amenities, incl. pool, jacuzzi, boccia/boule court.
They have two lovely dogs on the property (big teddies!) and also cats, so if you love animals (which we do), this is another plus.
The room is in a separated guest house with bathroom ensuite (and fireplace!) with a separate entrance. Everything is nice and clean with linen/towels provided.
If we come back to Santa Ynez Valley, we'll defnintely will have to stay there again! :)
It was my birthday and I was going to Los Olivos to visit a friend, with whom I stayed, usually. However this time I had to make my own plans since she had moved to much smaller accommodations. A friend of hers suggested this place, thru airbnb, both of which I had not heard of. I'm okay with travelling alone and actually enjoy the tranquility. After having seen the digs, I thought, not bad, looks fine.
WELL... fine does not describe my stay. This 24 hour overnight was the most luxurious and wonderfully peaceful, tranquil, comfortable place I can remember staying, with the possible exception of Tuscany! lol Philip and his wife are so gracious, warm and inviting, and the setting is, well, a little like Tuscany. Instead of olive trees there are oaks and fields with horses and clear skies as far as the eye can see. Coming from Los Angeles, I was so pleasantly pleased that I have now committed to travelling up more often than the every couple years I visited my friend. If only to take a book, sit in the spa, enjoy the quiet and company of people who have found their own paradise. You must visit at least once!
We liked our stayed so much that we came back 3 days later. Philip and Cassandra are wonderful hosts - engaging, welcoming and gracious. The rooms are as stated, clean and comfortable - and the grounds are even more spectacular with the pool, hot tub and bocci ball court. A bonus of our stay was having morning cappuccino and tea with Philip and Cassandra. Their kitchen is warm and inviting and the hosts radiate goodness. The town of Los Olivos is a must visit. We will return.
This was one of our top AirBnB experiences and what we most enjoy about staying with AirBnB hosts. The place and the hosts were just as described by both the host and previous reviewers--comfortable, clean, and spacious. Phillip and Cassandra went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed, and they prepared the best cappaccino we have ever had. We enjoyed our time at their place and talking with them about the places they have travelled.
We look forward to our next visit.
Philip and Cassandra are amazing hosts and Coyote Ridge Ranch is a mini Paradise. Strangely, its both secluded and very near everything in the triangle near Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and Solvang. It sits 4 miles or so from 154, so if you want to be away from people, you can get away. But, when you want to hit amazing restaurants like Sides in Los Olivos or amazing wineries like Demetria on Foxen Canyon, you're only 15-30 minutes away. For a Los Angeleno like me, all of that was very impressive. We'll definitely back and I've already told friends and family about our amazing stay at Coyote Ridge Ranch.
