  • “A living art museum” with beautiful paintings by Tara. This was definitely a bonus for us.
The apartment is ideally located, with easy access to two subway lines into the city and lots of restaurants and other amenities nearby. We stayed six persons (4 adults and two young people) in the apartment, and it worked well, especially it was nice to have two bathrooms.
We used the well-equipped kitchen a few times.
Lee and Tara were very helpful and pleasant to deal with, and they are great resources for useful information about NY.
A great stay – we can recommend.

  • Really lovely , warm and colourful apartment. Has everything you might need for a short or longer stay. Close to subway , only a few stops to centre of town. Felt like a safe neighbourhood, didn't have any problems and really quiet . View of some of New Yorks most famous landmarks eg Chrysler building from living room window. Tara and Lee very helpful and really good communication . Would recommend a stay in this lovely apartment

  • We were a group of 6 old college friends coming into NYC for a reunion. Lee and Tara's place was perfect for us! It's a big place with two bathrooms and two showers: we were very comfortable, and it's very peaceful and spacious in their place.

Also basically right in the heart of Williamsburg and we could walk to amazing bars like the Radegast Biergarten, brunch places, and the subway with no problem at all.

For a slightly larger group, Lee & Tara's place is a perfect venue.

  • The apartment was ideally located for us, with easy access to two subway lines into the city, available street parking, and lots of restaurants and other amenities nearby. It was clean and well-kept. We didn't eat in, but could have easily done so, since it seemed that the kitchen was decently-equipped. Having two bathrooms was handy, too! Our two-year-old had to be told several times to keep her hands to herself, especially with regard to the art hung on the walls within her reach, but otherwise we found it reasonably child-friendly. As indicated in the description, though, it *is* on the fourth floor of a walk-up, so carrying gear and child up and down could be a bit of a workout. We found Lee and Tara helpful and pleasant to deal with. A great stay!

  • Lee and Tara were and are amazing hosts for my colleague Kerry and I - they were generous and warm hosts, always inviting us for outings with them without imposing on our personal space. They even braved Hurricane Sandy with us with smiles on their faces and shared many pots of tea while listening to the radio. I wish I could stay here with them longer, they are just awesome!! THANKS, GUYS!!

  • Lee and Tara were wonderful during our stay to three days in their apartment.
The apartment is perfect: clean, large, fully equipped kitchen, top floor with a view of a piece of Skyline Manathan and even a roof access!
Bonus : beaitiful painting by Tara!
The flat is near for metro lines Manathan (1 stop!) And Queens.
For sure, i will be back there.
I want to live in New York! i want to live with Lee and Tara! :)

thanks very much to Lee and Tara!

  • A truly great experience with warm and generous hosts. We really appreciated the tips and hints and loved being so close to a subway station. After a long day of running around the city it was always great returning to a sanctuary with such chilled out people.

  • Lee and Tara are just gorgeous! I mean, the place is in the perfect spot, the beds are comfortable, the roof is exceptional place to drink wine, the art is captivating, but the very best part is the company - particularly how delightful, attentive and good at looking after you, without imposing, Lee and Tara are.

My mate Sally and I felt welcome, and so thankful for this slice of Williamsburg sanctuary. It's my new New York home-away-from-home!

  • Tara and Lee are very responsive hosts. They answered our questions and delivered the keys as promised. When there was a problem with the hot water in the building they were available by telephone and got it fixed quickly. The apartment is large and easily accommodates 6 people The living/dining area is especially nice for conversation and relaxing. The apartment is filled with owners art, and feels a bit cluttered, so gusts will have to be inventive in finding places to put their luggage and hang their clothes. The lack of air conditioning was not a problem because the weather cooperated, but in hot weather the fans may not be enough. The 4 story walk-up is not recommended for people with any mobility problems.

  • I had a great time at Lee and Tara's. As a veteran of Williamsburg's south side, I was thrilled to be somewhere close to what was once home. The neighborhood is shifting and changing as always, lots of great food, endless nightlife. The apartment is cozy, with windows in the living room that catch the sweet summer sounds of New York, and the bedroom window opening to quieter realms. Tara's art is the signature of the entire space, and it was great to feel inspired and engaged. Also, there is a delicate but fully functional hammock in the living room. That made my day. Thanks~
