This top floor, 2 bedroom flat is tucked away from the road on a large but quiet compound, backing on a river and Statehouse property. Balconies on either side of the space allow for a lot of light to stream through. this is our home and we have made it as comfortable as possible, opening up the kitchen for more common living and turning one of the rooms into a TV room for privacy. The flat is walking distance to the shops and driving distance to all other main areas of Nairobi. Come stay!
Welcome to your home in Nairobi!
This is a top floor, 2 bedroom very spacious flat with river views (and sounds). It is rare to find such a peaceful yet central location. Close to Westlands, Kileleshwa, Lavington, Kilimani and the Downtown! Also nearby Yaya Centre, Junction Mall & Westgate and Sarit Centre.
One great difference is that we have a washing machine so no handwashing! Clothes dries faster and doesn't get destroyed.
Views out the back balcony of Kirichwa River and Statehouse Gardens, a wonderful pool, great sunny weather and a free parking space.
Benefits of being on the top floor are that you can leave your balcony door open all day and get the fresh breeze flowing through without worrying about security! Sweet deal if you ask me!
You will have access to 1 free parking spot, the common gardens and pool, 2 balconies, 2 bedrooms, 1 TV room, 1 sitting room, 1 kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 2 showers (bathtub not functional), and 24hr advice and help from us on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), email or phone. Everything in the kitchen is free for you to use. Our home is your home!
Interaction with guests
We travel a lot for work, and I manage properties for a living (Bruce manages a school on a sailboat...I know...weird), and so we are regulars at hosting from a distance. We are available 24hrs on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and email, and I have my assistant available in Nairobi for any emergencies. You are in good hands.
Other things to note
Please note that in Nairobi there are security issues and the best way to make sure you have a great experience is to follow these simple guidelines: smile and greet people and look them in the eye, introduce yourselves to the security guards without giving them too much info. Never share house keys with security guards or anyone else. Never open the front door to anyone you are not already expecting. Don't give out your personal schedule to strangers. Don't let strangers into the flat. Lock your front door at night. We are on the top floor, so we don't lock our 2 balconies (7 years and we've been all good...). If you follow this simple advice, you should be safe and happy! If anything comes up we are the first persons you should notify and we will help you immediately. We are there for you!
- This is our home and so we'd love if you could treat it as such. We have spent time making it a peaceful gettaway from Nairobi traffic and are sharing our lovely space with you.
- Smoking is allowed on balconies only
- No candles allowed in the flat
- Lightbulbs to be replaced only by our staff.
- Due to Nairobi security issues, dinner parties nor parties are allowed in the flat.
- Keys to the flat should NEVER be given to anyone, not friends, not security guards, not colleagues.
- If keys are lost or misplaced let us know immediately.
- Do not open the front door for anyone that you are not expecting and/or do not know.
