The only positive things about this rental are that it has a good location in the Barri Gotic, and it has a terrace on the top of the apartment with great views of the city and the Plaza Reial below. The apartment itself leaves much to be desired and we would not recommend it, particularly in the summer months. Because the air conditioners either do not work well or at all, the apartment is very hot during the day and even during the night, unless one wants to open the doors to the outside and then you will hear the constant noise from the Plaza, which often continues until 4 a.m..
The décor is funky Bedouin chic and basically is unfunctional. The 2nd bedroom is really the living room, and is furnished with a bed/sofa in the middle of the floor (basically a large mattress without back or arms) having 7 or 8 decorative pillows and surrounded by retractable draping. Other than lying or sitting on the bed or in an uncomfortable chair, there is really nowhere to sit and read or relax comfortably inside the apartment.
Attic Real is certainly not worth the price unless someone thinks that $2400 a week for a nice terrace view and uncomfortable shabby chic decor is a good deal.
Such a beautiful place right in the middle of the old center of Barcelona at the most wonderful Plaza Reial! The apartment is so cosy, the interior and lights are selected so perfect - it makes you feel at home instantly. I could hardly move away from the view of the rooftop terrace. It's fabulous! I hope i can come back soon together with my husband!
We (4 girls) came to Barcelona to celebrate one of us 30th Bday and apartment has been absolutely perfect for that, including everything: ambient, location, vibe! We have enjoyed it till the fullest!
We had a very nice stay in Fabienne’s apartment. The place is well furnished and equipped and the view on Plaça Reial is literally stunning. The only negative aspect was the noise outside but you can’t be in the heart of Barcelona without compromises. We would totally recommend this place!
The location, view, brightness and size were four features of this apartment that we loved during our recent stay in Barcelona. Overlooking the Placa Real and the rooftops of the city, you step out of your door into the action. Had the weather been better, it would have been wonderful to spend time on the terraces. You can wander the old city for hours or and browse the shops and stalls to your heart's content. The metro and many excellent restaurants are nearby. It's an easy walk to the market for wonderful fresh food if you'd like to cook at home. The apartment was generally clean (but a little rough around the edges e.g., white slipcovers dirty at the bottom, some loose tiles, broken lock on the terrace door). The beds and linens were comfortable. Another plus is the elevator, especially for transporting luggage to the fifth floor. Be prepared for a rather dark and gloomy entry to the building itself, noise and light from the street, a rather eclectic and cluttered manner of furnishing, an uncontained shower right by the toilet that floods the bathroom floor, and the need to bring your own tissues, bar soap and shampoo. Fabienne and Nadia (her greeter) were friendly and accommodating. Overall, the apartment was a great place to launch from and return home to, but somewhat overpriced given some of the features mentioned.
Very nice location in the heart of Barcelona. The appartment is very nice as well. Nicely decorated and in perfect shape.
The one improvement would be to have double glass. It is quite noisy early in the morning. We were here in december, and there was a big storm. There was quite a draught inside.
But there were enough heaters so we had lots of fun.
Charming apartment, and an extraordinary view from the amazing terraces. My wife and I, and our three kids, stayed there for two days, and it was great.
Beautiful place! Perfect location! Perfect stay! Fabienne has excellent taste in furniture and finishes. I had never actually seen a "shoilet" before. There is a toilet in the shower! Charming! We really enjoyed the sunsets from the top deck with amazing Spanish cheese, charcuterie, and wine. The flat was clean and exactly as represented in the photos.
Absolutely loved staying in Fabienne's flat, there cant be a better place to watch the world go by and my partner Michelle even accepted my marriage proposal.
The apartment is in a fantastic location with wonderful views across Plaza Real and the Barcelona skyline. The balcony and terrace are absolutely wonderful. The apartment itself is very bohemian which we liked but it could do with some work here and there to make it more comfortable. Unfortunately, the downside of the central location is that it can be noisy at night from the crowd in the plaza below. This is downtown Barcelona after all so if you are not a sound sleeper we suggest you bring some ear plugs!
