Dexter is a really nice guy and I had a good stay here. He is very friendly and helpful, and the place is very nice. It is also really close to the J train and a number of shops.
Had a great time at Apartment Awesome! Convenient location for me and minutes away from the trains. All 5stars for your place Dexter! The place is clean and indeed charming! Dexter is a kind, humble and friendly host, stayed at his place for an extra 2days- For Free! Thank you for all brother!
The room is ok, but with dust covered on desks. Bathroom is not clean either. Dishes were left in the kitchen sink for 2 days.... It's overall not my favorite experience. At least 10 minutes to the metro.
Dexter does have the most charming place! Very nicely decorated, comfy bed, nice heating. It looked just like the pictures. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to meet Dexter, since I was out in the city all the time. Logistics were well organized, even though Dexter was not around (otherwise you can pop in for coffee at the nice place down the street). On the downside I found the location to be quite far from the Metro, and not an attraction in itself. In the night I did not find it very pleasant to stroll around. But maybe that's because the Manhattaners will tell you to take a cab if you tell them you are staying in BedStuy.
Dexter made my experience easy. Charming, clean, cool place to stay for good value. I would definitely go back.

About the Host, Dexter
My name's Dexter. I am a visual artist living and working in Brooklyn. I grew up in The Bronx with roots to the Dominican Republic. I studied architecture at SUNY Buffalo and Yale School of Architecture. A traveler at heart, I've had the fortune to see places around the world: Mexico City and Antwerp in Belgium I once called home, while I've made several stops in India, Oaxaca, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam.
I hope you make this your first stop in NYC.
If so, I'll see you soon!
