Comfy cottage in Historic Ryan Place and near hip Magnolia Avenue/Near Southside area with award winning local eateries and pubs, TCU, downtown and medical district. It is about 450 sq. ft open space with full kitchen/bath and private parking and entry. Visitors can enjoy the nearby local eateries or prepare their own meals with ingredients from the Southside Urban Market, Ryan's Grocer or the Magnolia Cheese Co. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, cookware and dishware. We will even have local Avoca coffee on hand. There is a new full size futon and full size real bed.

Public transit is walkable to 8th Ave. or Magnolia Ave. We can also provide use of a bike on request. We live in the area so we can provide any tips you may need for your visit.

  • Hao was very easy to get in touch with and was available to answer questions throughout my stay. She thoughtfully sent an email of local events that would be happening while I was staying in Fort Worth. The space was perfect. I arrived to find everything I needed from the kitchen to the bathroom to the office space. My stay was very comfortable and I would absolutely stay here again.

  • Hao was great- when I forgot my key one night, and texted her, she let me in within 15 minutes (she does not live on the property and had to drive over). She also did not make me feel guilty about it!

  • Host communicated well prior to arrival, did not hear from her or see her during our stay. Pictures are deceiving, the cottage is much less that 450 square feet. The cottage is in need of cosmetic repair. It smelled overwhelmingly of mildew Mattress and box spring were on the floor not on a bed frame. Dead bolts on cottage door did not work nor did door handle lock. Only lock that worked was a flimsy lock that you might use on a backyard gate. We did not feel safe. Would not stay again nor would I recommend.

I appreciate your feedback and will address these issues. I respect the privacy of guests so I do not make contact with them during their visit. I understand your concerns and wish had the opportunity to hear these concerns during your visit to rectify these issues but realize it was such a short stay. Again, you feedback is important to solve these problems.

  • Our stay here was great! Its a really cute studio type space, nice gas stove for cooking, shaded sitting area outside, and located in a very walkable neighborhood...especially to the shops, cafes, and restaurants of Magnolia St. Check-in and check-out info was clear and smooth. Would recommend it!

  • Hao is fantastic. She constantly communicates with me prior to my arrival to make sure I will find the place. And everything was according to expectations. She even provided a bottle of red wine for my consumption. Will definitely come back. :)

  • The cottage was a little smaller than you would think from the pictures, but it's perfect for just one person or maybe a couple. It's in a beautiful area, surrounded with gorgeous houses, and there's a couple of different areas close by that are filled with restaurants. Downtown Fort Worth is just a few minutes drive. The cottage is heated with space heaters so on the colder days it was hard to stay warm, although Hao was always there and asking if I needed anything. She responded to any questions immediately and was extremely pleasant. The only thing that was disappointing to me was the lack of wifi. You can pick it up sometimes for a minute or two then it's gone. I am from Canada, so I wasn't able to use my phone for data because of the charges, but if you are coming from anywhere in the States, or have an unlimited data plan on your phone, then this wouldn't be a problem. Overall, it was a great little place for my needs, as I spent most of my time exploring, and the host was terrific.

  • I stayed at the Comfy Cottage for a month because of school. I love the decor around the cottage and it feels really home-y. It is a cottage so the room is limited but more than a few people could get by because of the futon, couch, and full size bed. Hao was very helpful, a quick text/call and she was on it. The neighborhood was peaceful and beautiful and I felt safe during my entire stay. She even offered me a discount because I left a few days before the actual rent expired, which is awesome if I am ever in DFW again. I would certainly recommend this for a nice affordable place to visit. The internet was a little spotty but I was busy with school elsewhere and I just used my phone if nothing else. In the end, great place!
