Just around the apartment you will find all what you need: grocery, bakery, bar, pharmacy, restaurant.
The apartment is the ideal set if you like stay up till late in the weekends, as it is on the heart of Trastevere "soft" movida. If you are not into night life you will have to be tolerant with noise till late in the weekend nights. As in the rest of Trastevere, the day is very quite, like in a country village.

Thanks Davide, who was always available.
The appartement was great, verry well located in Trastevere. Ideal for short stay and if you want to appreciate nightlife. The Only negative point is the sound of The bar downstairs. Thanks for The late check out last day.
There are the pictures of the flat and the reality, and in between let's say that there is a big gap... no toaster, the microwave and the oven are not working, the coffee machine is still a mystery and there was no bottle opener (by the way, we bought one that we left). Carpets were dirty.
The worst thing was the noise, we were aware of the area - a lively atmosphere, but what we experimented is beyond words. It's simple: you can only sleep 4 hours per night. The bar just in front close at 2am, time for people to really leave it's 3am and then at 7am the restaurant just under the flat will give you the impression to be in the middle of a kitchen at rush time.
In conclusion, the price is to expensive regarding the fact that you can only sleep half of the night.
Hi Adelaide, I am sorry you're not been satisfied of your stay, but let me say that the gap "your review/reality" it's bigger then "pics/reality" ;)
- coffe machine is on i's place on the kitchen (classic italian Moka + electric espresso machine)
- toaster is there
- oven is working and microwave also (on private feedback you said its plug adaptor was missing and here you wrote wasn't working)
Probably carpets were not perfect and I apologies for that. You have to consider that we can't wash deeply them at each guests change (it needed a professional external service that take few days any time), so well as courtins and sofa cover.
About the noise, the apartment name is "Charming movida" and its position on the heart of Soft movida of Trastevere is mentioned on the description also. I went over on it, telling that ti can be noisy on weekend nights. Other then informed, I think you dramatized: the one downstairs opening at 8/9 am is just a quite cafè (not a restaurant) without any kitchen and music, with people sitting at the table for a morning coffee. Not the right place if you are so sensible, I agree
Davide's apartment was perfect for our trip to Rome! Davide was very helpful with all our questions and requests and always quick to respond by phone or email. He arranged airport transfers for us. The location is amazing. Walking distance from all attractions and absolutely ideal for the evenings. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. If you can only sleep in silence then you will need earplugs. There is noise from the streets but it didn't bother me. I slept just fine, it isn't too loud. For me it was worth a little bit of noise for this fantastic apartment, location and service.
Davide flat is an ideal location to base your sightseeing attack on the amazing city if Rome. It is as other reviews have written a little noisy of the evening. But generally will die down by 2am as local laws shut the surrounding bars at 2am. The flat has all the necessities to get by..I will suggest to Davide to buy a wine opener for the flat though.
Davide was very helpful, even arranged pick up from the airport! The flat was lovely, great location, lots of restaurants and shops around. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this flat.
The pictures for this apartment look much nicer than the apartment itself. In retrospect the other reviews were warnings about this apartment that I did not take seriously. For example, the bar/nightclub downstairs is beyond loud. The apartment is located on a corner and there are bars on every corner and it is packed with people until 4am. The air conditioner was broken and Davide's assistant, Francesco, fixed it with duct tape which lasted about 15 minutes. I contacted Francesco to ask him to try it again and I never heard back. Then I contacted the host he said he would send Francesco by and he never showed up. Later Davide admitted he forgot to relay the message to Francesco so we were out of luck. The air conditioner in the bedroom worked fine, however, we were told to dump the water reservoir out twice a day. Really it needed it so much more. We left the air on during the night while we tried to sleep and woke to water all over the floor of the bedroom. So, you can't run the air conditioner while you sleep. The mattress in the master bedroom is so thin that you can feel the springs and every time you move the bed bounces. That in combination with the noise and checking the water reservoirs we were left sleepless. The electricity would shut down from running the laundry machine with any combination of lights or air conditioner. I realize that is very common in Rome but this verged on ridiculous. We were running down the stairs to turn it back on several times a day. We kept the lights out so we could do laundry. Because we were so uncomfortable we moved to a hotel for our last night.
Hi Dianna, I am sorry to discover so many things now!
I didn't know that you moved somewhere else for the last night and that is quiet surprising, especially because the last of 4.
In any case it would have been the case to communicate that you left, as for a host it's important and much safe to know if one apartment is busy or not!
I am sincere, let me say you looks immediately very sensible :)
The name of the apartment is "Charming movida" and the description also reports it's on the heart of Trastevere, that is a hot spot of the center of Rome, rich of bar and restaurant. That can be a plus for many, a minus for others, but can't be not considered, and of course its choice has to be conscius of (website hidden) was not broken: just his air cable was easy to move by it's place if you were moving the unit. That is not really what "AC broken" usually means.
Anyway after your notify, as the automatic stop for the water looks not working properly, we replace that, so it's now possible use that unit also all night long.
3 AC ON + lights is the energy limit, that is true. I hope, and it looks to be not a big issue for my guest torn off temporary one AC if they want use Washing machine or dish machine or airdryer. That is common in Italy and we use to do that in our private home also, sorry!
The maitress of the master bedroom is 16 cm fat, so not so thin.
I am very sorry that you were not satisfied about the accomodation. If notified I had the chance to offer you others apartments of mine in the same area, with a special treatment.

I am an italian guy into architecture, design, art, vintage and...animal most of all. My 2 dogs are the children I don't have. I have never liked "total Ikea" and "grandmother's apartment" that so often I see on holiday apartments market. I would like like to offer something different to my guests; some of my apartments are basic and easy, some other are much luxurious, but all of them have an own personality, that probably cannot be found in a common hotel.
I really would like to have respectful guests, easy going, smart enough to understand that communication and flexibility are important in our relationship and that perfection in everything can be found at Hilton (maybe) ;)
In any case, even if you will stay somewhere else, enjoy Rome and don't forget to visit some other wonderful place in Italy!
