I live on Sidney Grove in Fenham which is a lovely leafy street just by the town moor allotments. It's within walking distance of the RVI, the Universities and the center of town.
The house is spacious, clean and tidy. There is a communal kitchen, dining room and living room.
The room you would stay in is a single. It has a comfortable bed, chest of drawers, desk and chair. It's very quiet so ideal for commuters or those in town for work.
There are lost of fantastic indian restaurants 2 minutes from the house or it takes 20 minutes to walk to the center.
If you don't fancy walking there is a bus that goes from the bottom of the street into town.
A beautiful house. Kate was an incredibly generous host and trusted me to look after her home. A warm welcome and a cosy well-kept home to come back to after a long day at work. Slept like a baby. Thanks Kate!
I stayed in total over a week at Kate's place;the house is indeed just 2min walk from central station and short distance from the Uni and the various medical schools & hospital around. Kate makes you feel like it's your home with freedom to get in & out, cook or bring in some take away. The room is small but enough. I slept like a baby. there's no internet so better to use your phone's network. Tip: try one japanese buffet just 2 blocks from the house.
It's a beautiful house on a quiet street. Plenty of parking, some good indian restaurants nearby, a lovely walk to the university over the common. Kate is very sweet and a thoughtful hostess. The room is petite but has everything you need - bed, desk, draws - for a comfortable stay. I would recommend this place, especially for the price. Note that there is no internet access or TV and bring some slippers ;)
I stayed for 2 nights at Katie's house while visiting the university. The ladies were both very nice, polite & helpful. The house was clean and airy, and also warm (I stayed in winter). The university is around a 20 minute pleasant walk. I felt safe here, and would stay again if I was in the area.
Katie was a very friendly and welcoming host. The house was clean and tidy, and the room was cosy (the hot water bottle was an unexpected bonus!). She was also happy to provide information on the local area including an excellent restaurant nearby. I'd stay again.
Kate lives on very quiet and attractive street in West Newcastle, a short walk from the centre of town. Her house is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable.
Kate is a very friendly host, and I would heartily recommend her to other airbnb users.
Nice place and hosts. Kate and Suesie were lovely and the room was confortable and bright.
