I live on Sidney Grove in Fenham which is a lovely leafy street just by the town moor allotments. It's within walking distance of the RVI, the Universities and the center of town.
The house is spacious, clean and tidy.
The room you would stay in is a single. It has a comfortable bed, chest of drawers, desk and chair. It's very quiet so ideal for commuters or those in town for work.
I'm happy for you to use the kitchen in the evening to prepare something quick and simple to eat.
Interaction with Guests
It's always nice to have a bit of a chat with guests so hopefully we'll find ourselves in at the same time at some point.
Sidney Grove is a lovely leafy street just next to the town moor. It's about a 20 minute walk into the centre but there are frequent buses if you don't fancy walking. There are shops and some really good Indian restaurants two minutes walk from the house.
I will give you an information sheet upon arrival with details about the house and local area. I'd appreciate it if you read this and took note of any requests regarding using the kitchen and bathroom.
I ask guests to take their shoes off in the house.
I could only arrive late Saturday night and Kate was very accomodating about waiting up for me to arrive. The house and room were lovely, clean and tidy and she was very friendly. I slept amazingly well in the comfortable bed and she left a brief note about things in the area and some very reasonable 'dos and donts' for my stay. I would reommend staying with Kate to anyone and I thoroughly enjoyed by stay in Newcastle. A hidden gem to the rest of the UK!
I had a lovely stay in Kate's house. Everywhere was nice and clean and she was very welcoming. I did find it difficult having no internet as I was in Newcastle for a course and stayed in this house for 2 weeks, but I think this is mentioned on the listing so that part is my fault! I was able to cook which was perfect.
The house is perfect!Very clean and you can use all the facilities!i stayed there for 6 nights! :)
I really liked the house, Kate has a lovely place, she was very careful about my arrival, it was very clean and neat, the bathroom was very clean as well. There is a supermarket close to the house and the City Centre is about 20 minutes walk.
I stayed at Kate's whilst I had a weeks work in Newcastle. It was a lovely, warm welcoming home. I had great use of the kitchen- bathrooms etc. Everything was very clean. Thank you.
I stayed Kate's house for around 20 days. Her house is really clean and Kate is nice, kind host. If you follow several simple rules, you will get super quiet and clean room during you stay. To go to city center you can walk(around 20 minutes) or take a bus(less than 10 minutes) in front of the road. You can go ASDA in 5 minutes by foot.
The room is an small single room so there are single bed, small desk, chair and drawer but no wardrobe. That's the only thing I didn't like but if you stay here for short period, it will not be a big problem.
