Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • This is a very clean, updated and comfortable condo with plenty of free parking that is accessible to the shops and restaurants of the Pearl via a pedestrian bridge.
It is part of a large complex and by the trains so it can be a bit noisy at night. Condo is not waterfront, it faces the street. Overall, it was a much more affordable alternative to the expensive downtown hotels and Nicholas is an attentive and thoughtful host.

  • This apartment was great! Nicholas was very helpful and accommodating. King Sized bed was very comfortable. Everything was within walking distance!

    Response from Nicholas:

Lol! Perhaps oatmeal and eggs as well.

  • Nicholas (email hidden)e house was immaculate. We somewhat misinterpreted the photos. We thought the house had a water view, it did not.
The neighborhood was really urban, as expected but I was put off by the number of homeless people between downtown and the apartment. I was not comfortable walking at night and i really isn't actually in the Pearl district, but it was close. There were also train noises as it is adjacent to the train station. Very light sleepers might not enjoy this so much.

  • Nicholas' condo was great, and check-in was a breeze. His place was well located, comfortable, quiet, and clean. We loved getting to walk along the waterfront, which was just behind his building. Portland was awesome, and when we come back, we'll try to stay here again.

  • The host, Nicholas, was great! Exactly as all have described here. :)
The apartment was also exactly as it is stated in the description. Nice, clean and comfortable. Has ample dishes, cookware and a large fridge/freezer. We came to Portland to celebrate my sister's birthday and it all turned out very well! 3 of us shared the apartment, utilizing the king sized bed and one of the rollaway beds. All very comfortable.
The location was very convenient as all the other reviewers have already stated. You definitely do not need to rent a car. I took the train from the airport, made the short walk to the apartment and then we just walked to the Pearl District when we went out.

Some other pointers not directly related to the apartment, but may be helpful and make you want to come here even more -
***We wanted to watch a game that was not on Direct TV, so we found a great sports bar at 13th and Lovejoy called "On Deck" and also a quaint lounge for an evening cocktail at "Olive or Twist" on 11th.
***There is an awesome wine/liquor market (w/ huge humidor) on Lovejoy & 9th and a Safeway at 13th & Lovejoy as well to stock all your supplies for your stay.
All within walking distance if you take the steps across the street up to the red Broadway Bridge and go left.
***We also took a wine tour via "Sea to Summit Wine Tours". I had never been to the Willamette Wine country and it was a perfect way to spend our Saturday. The van picked us up at the apartment, drove us to whichever wineries we wanted and then dropped us right back at our door. Super convenient!
All in all, this was a great weekend and we will be back!!

  • Nick's condo was really fantastic - the space was clean, neat, and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub area was very nice and quiet. Pretty much everything we did was within a 10 minute drive - restaurants, bars, ice cream, parks, Powell's, everything. Nick was great - he met us late at night (late flight into PDX) to show us around the condo and make sure we were all settled in. He was very accommodating and responsive to our (email hidden) to stay!

  • Wonderful location on the outskirts of the Pearl District. Very clean, comfortable and although there is a train near by, you don't hear much of it. Great bar, McCormick's, nearby if you don't feel like beating the pavement. Nick was supper attentive and even supplied orange juice and the like!

Close enough to be an easy walk to both sides of the water. Love this location and will come back whenever we're able!

  • We had a good stay. Everything was clean, and there was nothing else we needed that wasn't already there. Nicholas was quick to respond before/during the stay. Check out was a breeze. The place is really convenient if you're riding the train. Would stay here again!

  • My boyfriend & I had a great stay at Nick’s! He was there to meet us when we arrived to show us the place, answer any questions about the area, etc. The condo was a good size, was clean, there was yummy coffee, and an awesomely comfortable huge bed. We even got to relax in the hot tub for awhile despite the rain. It’s a little farther removed from the Pearl area then I expected going in; but still an easy walk over and close to the street car. I would recommend Nick’s place!
