Whether your staying for business or pleasure there is something for everyone.
No smoking indoors of any kind, there is a patio right outside if needed. Always use ashtrays or improvised ash trays (an aluminum can). Be respectful to other neighbors and keep it reasonably quiet after 10pm. Remember you are a guest here, just cause you have the rights the use the place doesn't mean you own the place (common sense). Treat the place and neighbors with respect and do not take ANYTHING (common sense). If leaving the premises make sure to lock-up patio door and to lock and deadbolt front door (common sense). Check-in is no earlier than 3pm, checkout is 11am (exceptions to these are made on a case by case basis, and depends on the other guest) Pool pass will be issued and is required to keep on you when using the pool and hot-tub. the 24 hour security checks all passes. Pool pass must be turned back in checking out. Hours of pool and hot-tub varies depending on time of year and maintenance schedule. Hot-tub is open all year round but is closed for occassional maintenance. No glass cups, bottles of any kind by the pool and hottub area. must use plastic or can beverages.
A very nice place on the riverfront. We are first-time Airbnb guests and found the entire experience very smooth and just what we were looking for. The neighborhood is quiet but as Portland newbies we were surprised at how the railroad tracks separate this riverfront area from the rest of the Pearl District. It's not hard to find your way across the tracks, but they are pretty prevalent in this neighborhood, a block from Union Station.
I had a month-long stay in Nick's furnished place. It was great! It was completely furnished with good stuff, and the bed was more than comfortable. All the cooking implements you will need are there in a very efficient space. If you are here on business, you will find yourself only minutes from downtown, while having an "apartment" experience rather than staying long-term in a hotel. There is a little convenience store and a little bar (with surprisingly great food) within walking distance, and The Pearl is only 5 min away.
Nick is a SUPER host who goes out of his way to make you welcome and does alot of "little things" that make your stay comfortable. 100% positive recommendation.
Nicholas met us at the apartment and explained all we needed to know.
The apartment is as described. However, even with the large window facing out on to the pool area we found it a bit gloomy especially in the kitchen area.
Nicholas was a great host and his condo was exactly what my wife and I were looking for.
Our flight landed rather early on the day we arrived in Portland, but Nicholas was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check-in early so that we could start our vacation. He also made sure we knew the layout of downtown Portland and gave us plenty of suggestions on where to go while in town.
The condo itself is in a great location right on the river. The inside was bright, clean and very spacious. We didn't use the community pool and hot tub as much as we had hoped to, but for the few times we did, it was lovely.
Overall I would highly recommend Nicholas' condo.
Great experience. Got into the city late, Nicholas was kind enough to meet me at the condo around 9PM .
The condo was fantastic, and Nicholas was a great host! The condo was clean and included a lot of nice extras, like fresh coffee beans and a little bit of food in the fridge to get us started. The unit opened directly onto the pool area, which was great. The location of the condo was perfect--right next to the river and only a few blocks into the Pearl. It was a great trip to Portland and a great place to stay!
Nicolas met me at the apartment and made an exception for my early arrival so that was great. His place had a cool keyless entry system that is a pleasure to use - when you are leaving for the day you just push a button, upon your return you push a few more. Except for a cutting board (which I hope he will remedy) his place has everything one would need to have a self sufficient stay in Portland.
