We had a lovely weekend at the cabin and it was very accurate in terms of it's description. Everything we needed for comfort was available and the property was peaceful and beautiful. It was a short walk to the bay and shops and the wood stove was perfect for evening time as it is still early Spring and gets a little chillier in the evenings. Emily was a gracious host and although our interaction was brief, she was a lovely woman and made us feel welcome in her space. I highly recommend a stay here and hope to visit it again in the future. I can only imagine how stunning the property would be in full summer bloom!
The cottage in Cowichan Bay was everything we were looking for. It was quiet, secluded, quaint yet still wihtin an hour driving distance from our home. We enjoyed the wood burning fire place, the patio, the property and the close proximity to Cowichan Bay. Emily was wonderful and provided us exactly what we needed to have a very enjoyable weekend. We will definitely be back.
Emily's cottage is wonderful and she is a great host! We had a lovely and relaxing weekend. The Cottage had everything we needed and more! Cowichan Bay is such a nice little village and the area is calm and quiet. Would love to come back one day!
Emily was a great host! She had set a fire up for us and left baked goods in the kitchen before we arrived. So thoughtful!
The cottage was very cute and just the right size for my boyfriend and me. The kitchen has unique wooden cabinets and counters which were fun, funky features too.
The only thing that wasn't quite perfect was that the bed was a little too firm (just a note to those to have sensitive backs/necks), but there were also lots of pillows which made it better.
Overall, the cottage and Emily were great! We would definitely recommend it to friends.
We really loved staying at this cottage. It's beautiful, unique and has everything you could ever want or need for a small escape. Thanks again for everything!
Myself and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience bringing in the New Year at the Blissful Retreat Cottage. It really did have everything that we wanted for our couple of days away.
We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the log fire, cooking dinner in the uniquely beautiful kitchen and drinking wine as we entered 2015.
The surrounding area was lovely (I'd particularly recommend visiting the remarkable Kinsol Trestle bridge), so much so that we'd love to return in the summer to revisit the bay and check out some of the many local wineries.
Emily was very welcoming and the cabin and surrounding property were charming.
