First things first.
if it's not availble, don't worry, i have 2 bedrooms.
the other one can be (email hidden)/rooms/632123
This bedroom is ok for 4, better for 3. perfect for 2.
the neighborhood is central but fortunately there's no much tourists. its the most charming and residential "barrio" of barcelona. lots of bars, cinema, day and nightlife.
you know, its the opposite of staying in a noisy and overcrownded area. ask your friends that stood near las ramblas, and you know what i'm talking. this is a very catalan kind of area.
there's a lot of squares where the famous tapa restaurants lay their tables at the open air. real people that actually live in barcelona come to gràcia to have some drinks with friends and also have some ethnical dinner, because there's a bunch of restaurants from all over the world. for instance, there is an ethiopian, lebanese and a brazilian in my own street; and close by some greek, tibetan, thai, portuguese, vietnamese, catalan of course, japanese,...you name it.
well, i can help you with that. after all we can agree that
sometimes a local's advice is better than a cold guidebook.
i wish you enjoy your stay and i can be useful in this amazing town.
if you're interested in meditation, you can join me, free of charge, every monday, wednesday and thursday at our buddhist center, 15 mins walking distance.

There must be magic in Paulo's advert with Airbnb because I was so inexplicably drawn to stay there. Maybe it was because he's a Buddhist, maybe his home reminded me of a boat, maybe it was just meant to be! Whatever it was, I feel eternally grateful. I loved it there. It was like the "cherry on top" of a fantastic trip.
My friend and I couldn't have found a more welcoming and perfect place to stay. It was an honor to be a guest. It was just what we needed at the end of the day pounding the streets of Barcelona taking in all the sights. I thought I was in Barcelona to absorb the magnificence and splendor of Gaudi's extraordinary architecture but I felt more like I was visiting a friend.
Paulo has a beautiful giving energy and is a wonderful host. He is relaxed and easy going, which made us feel completely relaxed and at home. When I head back to Barcelona in the future, this is the ONLY place I will stay.
The apartment was easy to find from the Fontana Metro and is in a quiet and pretty area with some great unique shops. A wonderful retreat after the busy city center for those who want a refuge from the madding crowds.
Paulo supplied us with good clear directions from the airport and saved us money by telling us the cheapest way to get there. Other handy tips from a local proved invaluable.
We were very lucky to have stayed when the Gracia Fiesta was on and what a treat that was. The streets were buzzing, with music and dancing in the streets to some great local bands. There are even free dance classes at this time! Young and old people were mingling in the plazas, all soaking up the joyous and friendly atmosphere, with the streets creatively decorated in really innovative and exciting ways.
One morning we walked to the Sagrada Familia from the apartment which only took 15 minutes. (If you aim to get there shortly after 8am the queues are minimal). Everything else we wanted to do was only a few metro stops away, so getting a T10 ticket is strongly recommended. This gives great freedom to see all you could wish.
I would strongly recommend Paulo's to those who want a pleasant, peaceful and unpretentious place to put their heads down. If you go with an open mind and peace in your heart, then you will receive all that Paulo's has to offer - love, peace and light.
If you are an artistic and creative type of person, Barcelona is an inspirational destination. Keep your eyes open for some great graffiti too...and it's all there to be discovered for free!
Paulo all I can say is thank you, bless you and carry on being you. I am hope we will meet again in the not too distant future. You made it all so easy for us. Wonderful memories to enjoy eternally.
- Paulo is a cool guy, very helpful
- Quick and easy communication
- one free breakfast included
- the little patio is a great place to hang out, easy communication
- quiet, easy to sleep in
- small bathroom with flimsy bathroom door close to where people may be hanging out, don´t expect much privacy.
The best place to stay when visiting Barcelona! You are getting exactly what the pictures are showing. Nothing fancy but you feel just at home. Paulo is an amazing host ! He will answer all your questions and give you the best advice especially on where to eat and where to go out. One yummy breakfast offered and many great friendship memories during your stay. Gracia is the best place to be, not very touristy, but everything is within your reach. I absolutely recommend Paulo's place, you won't regret it!
Paolo made my time in Barcelona extra special, and I already loved Barcelona before this trip. He went out of his way with kindness and generosity, provided information on places to go in the neighbourhood for great food, and generally made sure there was a relaxed atmosphere for all his guests. The neighbourhood has much to offer, and is within walking distance of all the major sites of the city, particularly if you're a walker like me. He is a very genuine human being, and I feel blessed to have been able to share space with him. I wholeheartedly endorse him as a host! I can't wait to come back.
Paulo is a great host! I had my wallet stolen upon arrival (in the metro- not near his place, that area is very safe. Just be careful and watch your stuff in the metro!) and Paulo was more than accommodating and helped me figure everything out. His place is very cool and is very well located- lots of small eateries just a few blocks away. Definitely recommend this place!
Being welcomed by Paulo with drinks was already a good start. The place is really nice, has good vibes and Paulo is are real friendly and conscious person. He knows what hosting is about and made my stay unbelievable interesting.
To have spent time at the Buddhist centre and meeting up with all his friends and hang out with them, gave me the feeling i really was in place.
Or at home in Barcelona!
Paulo's place is awesome. It's in the Gracía neighbourhood which is a really great place in Barcelona. There are cafés, plazas and tree lined streets. Paulo was friendly and only wanted to help. He let me know what was going on in Barcelona and asked what I wanted to see. Overall Paulo's place is a great place to stay!
I really enjoyed my stay with Paulo, he's a very relaxed and easy-going guy with a great taste for music and films! The house is located in a good spot in the best neighborhood of Barcelona. The atmosphere is very open so you immediately feel like a roommate rather than a guest. Gracia is like a small village inside the big city and this also makes you feel like a bit of a local... I'm sure I will return to THE REAL BARCELONA soon!
Paulo is not only a great host, but a great guy! Super helpful with a great artsy house. Metro is a short walk through a really special neighborhood. Stay here!
