First of all, ladies, I booked this place, without consulting my girlfriend! She was a little perturbed that I didn't consult with her as the place hadn't been reviewed yet. WE were immediately relieved on arrival to find the villa nestled safely within the confines of a very safe compound guarded by a dog and a heavy metal sliding door, 9 feet high to keep people out.
The villa is very lovely. It is minutes from the beach. While there we enjoyed the local activities: horse back riding, massage therapy, and surfing. It was a perfect way to start our Costa Rican vacation. We also stayed one evening in the main house. The main house was twice as big as the villa with two bedrooms.
The host family doesn't speak much English. They couldn't be nicer. The host family has a dog named Luna, so you get a temporary pet. Luna was difficult to leave behind, as was Santa Teresa.
Greg was out of town, however his friend Drew helped us out. Drew was a fount of knowledge, from surf reports, to knowing about the ferry schedule, and local eats. Drew was very nice as well.
Needless to say, I would stay here again, and again, and again.
Oh, and the surfing was awesome.
