Apartamento estupendamente situado en un rincón hermoso del Trastevere. Cerca de buenos restaurantes y al lado del río. Bien equipado con todo lo necesario. Buena y amable atención del anfitrión en español.
The location of the apartment is amazing in the quaint cobble stone alley of Trasteve in walking distance of everything you need. However, we were not very pleased with the apartment or Diego's communication. When we arrived after our flight from Paris, we couldn't get a hold of Diego to figure out how to check in. We finally called his number and his co-worker met us at the apartment (who was very nice!).
However, the apartment is very dark and had some mildew stench throughout the house from wet laundry left in the closet. It was also very noisy in the morning with high school students congregating right outside the window each day before school.
The location is great but the apartment was not very comfortable and as being Airbnb hosts ourselves we would have liked a little more of heads up on some of the issues we would encounter. Hope Diego will make these adjustments for future guests.
Great location - Diego was easy to reach to get the keys and answer questions. The apartment is very walkable to all of the main attractions, close to restaurants and nightlife. The apartment had all of the amenities listed in the description, and had enough hot water, wifi, linens, and space to accommodate four people. Overall, great apartment and host. Thanks Diego!
The place was great for us! Great location, I would definetely stay there again!
We've just come home from our first trip to Rome and had a very pleasant stay in App. Atleta. Trastevere is a lifely, sometimes a bit crowded but very colorful part of Rome and the appartment is a nice, quiet place to come "home" to. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Diego but his friend was also very friendly (over the phone) and gave us relevant information about how to reach the appartment from the tramstop.
We fell in love with Rome and with the neighbourhood. You can reach all the highlights of Rome by foot and the appartment has everything you need - a nice bed, a cosy livingroom (where you probably won't spend much of your time visiting Rome) a fine little kitchen and a good bathroom. We'd recommend this place to all our friends and other people who are interested in traveling to this wonderful city.
Despite a broken shower head upon our arrival which wasn't fixed until the next afternoon, it was a decent place to stay. We tried to use the AC though and were warned not to leave it on overnight and also empty out the water. We tried to use it just in the afternoon and after 20 mins there was a giant puddle on the floor. So we couldn't use it the rest of our stay. A little more expensive than we initially wanted, but you pay for the good location. Buses were really easy to use, but the closest metro line was a bit of a ways.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Diego's for three nights and it was exactly what we were looking for. A nice little two storey apartment and very cute designed interior. It is right in the heart of of trastavere and you walk 2min through little cobbled alleyways and past small authentic Italian restaurants to get to the Tiber river. 10min walk to the night markets along the canal which was beautiful. We walked everywhere - the coloseum was just a 10min walk. Diego was lovely and greeted us there when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this place it is a very good value for money.
We came from Spain to Roma and stayed at Diego's house for 4 nights. It was a very good experience, I highly recommend Diego's house as a base for a Roman vacation.
It was our first time and we were not sure if staying in the centre of the city or in Trastevere was best. As we spent the days out in the center sight seeing and visiting the vatican, it was wonderful to come at night to Trastevere for dinner, drinks and a lovely Roman neighbourhood. It was very residential, historical, beautiful architecture all around our street and the neighbours and restaurant owners were friendly. There is public transport very convinient to the city center and to the vatican. The apartment itself is lovely and very comfortable. We had no problems. Clean, comfortable bed, living area, kitchen and no problems at all. Would go back in a heart beat! We recommend Da Meo Pataca as a great dinner place with live Italian music, good home made italian food and good service. Its around the corner from the house.
The neighborhood is great and the apartment is just as advertised. Coordinating with Diego was easy and the WiFi worked well. I'd love to visit again.
The apartment seems to be a large room divided into two with a mezzanine level for the bedroom so bedroom is not separate at all noise wise and both floors feel a bit cramped. The apartment is quite noisy, I could even hear people undoing bike locks. The mobile air conditioning leaked all over the lovely parquetry floor overnight and the thin waffle towels were no help mopping up. The shower head is really loose and kept swinging into the wall bulkhead, more water everywhere. The heavy front door binds which makes it hard and loud to close so we had a neighbour stop to complain. Powder for the washer was hidden and everything that came out of the washer stank of mould. We had to ask for toilet paper. The light for the stairs was making strange crackle sounds like there's a wiring issue and there are no overhead lights making the apartment dark, no ventilation in the kitchen or bathroom make it a stuffy and hot apartment.
The location was great, lots of interesting streets to explore and cafes to eat at, great for bars.
Good guest but complaints a lot and expects too much of an apartment, it's not a hotel. Guest also called the day before saying that was arriving causing confusion when there were still guests in the apartment. Not to mention she booked starting the next day. The shower head was recently fixed and the guest said nothing about it. I explained to the guest how everything worked in the apartment, door, washing machine and even took over toilet paper the next day after explaining that the cleaner forgot. I guess some people just love to complain.
