In spite of the fact that we were only one night at Mark's place we had really great time in Kinsale. The place was very clean and it was a perfect location for exploring local attractions! What's more there is a beautiful little beach just a few steps away. It is also worth to mention that Mark is a very friendly and flexible host. You can feel at home at his place.
Mark was a good bloke, helpful and informative. Place is a bit of a walk from town but we had a car so no problem. Good value, would recommend.
After a 26-hour, fully awake journey from the western U.S., Mark's place and Kinsale was a fabulous place to land. Mark was very helpful with any questions and concerns, and the place was clean and very quiet and cosy, just what I was hoping for my first night in Ireland. Though I didn't see much of him until the following evening, due to basically sleeping my whole first day, we had a wonderful conversation when I stayed a second night. Mark is a great person, and i would recommend a stay to anyone looking for a quiet respite in a beautiful location. James Fort is a must see, and being able to walk 2 minutes to the sea is fantastic. Note that the home is out of town by a 5-10 minutes drive out on the peninsula, but I walked if several times in about 30 minutes, and it's a lovely walk as well. Kinsale is a must-see in my opinion, I'm ready to go back soon! Thanks again, Mark! Cheers!
We had a wonderful visit in Kinsale. Mark was a great host very friendly and helpful. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat. The place was very clean and it was a perfect location for exploring Kinsale or the nearby castles!
Would definitely recommend Kinsale and staying at Mark's place. Kinsale was really nice small fishing town with a good choice of pubs, food and entertainment. During our stay we went to The White House and Jim Edwards
Mark was a friendly host. We only saw him a couple of times over the weekend but he was really helpful in recommending places to visit in the area.
Beautiful bright twin bed room in a beautiful location just outside of Kinsale's village.
30 minute drive from Cork's City, right next to James' historic fort. Plenty to do in Kinsale from great restaurants, water activities, historical sites and nightlife.
There's also a nice hot power shower available. Will definitely consider visiting Kinsale and Mark again!
5 Stars all around!
Marks place is in a lovely location. We only stayed for one night and enjoyed the walk to James Fort the next morning. He is very relaxed and you can feel at home at his place.
