The Space

Welcome to my new house!
The BnB di Piazza Vittorio is located in a nineteenth-century palace in the heart of the Esquilino area, the city's most multi-ethnic, colorful and vibrant area of Rome.

"The Esquilino neighbourhood is a bit of an island. Although it is located in the centre of Rome – walking distance from the Colosseum and south of Roma Termini railway station – the multi-ethnic neighbourhood has managed to remain something of a secret. Here Bangladesh and Chinese immigrants live alongside a growing African and Middle Eastern community, as well as international artists, writers, film directors and traditional Italian families.
All the locals agree: Esquilino is a unique side of Rome.
Large porticos shield the pavement from the rain and allow Chinese merchants a good space to sell their wares. Upstairs, grand apartments have been scooped up by artists, directors and filmmakers.
Although Esquilino does not yet have many hip or high-end shops or restaurants, the mix is still very interesting. Local architects are renovating rooftop apartments and commercials are filmed on the streets, adding to the buzz... ( Monocle magazine Feb.2011)

The owner has a long experience of travel that she has poured into the renovation of the rooms so that you may enjoy the tranquility and warmth of home, with all the comforts of a small charming hotel, providing it with the most modern comforts. After a day discovering the treasures of Rome you will find areas in which to relax and chat, or surf for free on the Internet.¨
The house has been converted from the apartment home of a Roman family of artists and professionals. Careful management to the needs of its customers from all over the world, provides hospitality 'atmosphere enveloping and intimate.

All rooms reflect a standard of class, furnished with family furnitures matched with simple contemporary pieces and decorated with natural materials.

We offer our guests a big suite -a bedroom and a living that can accomodate confortly three people - with a doubble bed and a confortable single one sofa, with private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, TV, radio and internet connection , a small library corner and our caring supervision to make your "Roman Holiday" a bit special!

  • Paris, sept. 30, 2013. We just spent the week-end in Roma at Alexandra's b&b and it was great! Everything was perfect! First the location close to the Coliseo and surrounded with nice restaurants. The place itself was very lovely, very charming! And the breakfast was delicious! I recommend it without reserve. • We came to the Alessandra's B&B for NY holidays and didn't expect too much, but were pleasantly surprised by warm welcome and staying. Alessandra provided us with numerous interesting and non-touristic places to visit in Roma, helped us with walking routes and shopping places. The classic italian 18th century building with beautiful inner yard is in the heart of roma, not far away from Termini station and near marvelous piazza de Vittorio Emmanuelle II, bright and cozy rooms made us sleep like children and nosey breakfast and coffee made us wake up early like skylarks :))

  • We stayed with Alessandra the last week of October 2011 and had a fabulous time!!! She was absolutely wonderful! When you arrive she gives you a small booklet that she made that had suggestions for sites and restaurants near the B&B. It includes a map that is numbered for your convenience. Every restaurant she suggested to us was excellent!

Alessandra was very friendly and very easy to talk to. She was also very attentive to my 7 year old daughter and gave her special treatment. Actually, I feel she gave us all special treatment!

The rooms were beautiful! I loved her style of mixing antique with modern. It was very refreshing and made you feel at home. And everything was exceptionally clean! My favorite part was the bedding because it was so soft and comfy!

Our trip to Rome would not have been so great if we didn't stay w/ Alessandra. She truly makes you feel like a guest in her home rather than a customer in her B&B. I highly recommend staying with her!!

  • I brought my Mom and young cousin for the first time to Italy - and Alessandra made sure it was the best time ever! The apartment is superbly elegant. Her hospitality made our trip, truly. Reservations at restaurants, and a fantastic guided tour with her friend Paola (do request a guided tour - its the best!), and lovely breakfast - including ice cold figs, peeled - heavenly. The neighborhood is great, very convenient, and lots of fantastic little cafes nearby - don't hesitate! This b and b experience is one of the best of this intrepid traveler's life... Thanks, Ale. xx

  • Our stay in the very nice appartment in an impressive building was wonderful. The rooms are exactly as beautiful as they appear in the photos. All very clean, bright and with lots of light. Enjoyable breakfast with real good coffee. We found the location and neighborhood ideal for a stay in (website hidden) is away from the most busy tourist areas but still in walking distance from the citycenter and a metro station just around the corner. There are good restaurants in the streets around and Alessandra offers a fine brochure made by herself about places to visit in the neighborhood. An excellent host - attentive, friendly and informative. We highly recommend this place. Thanks to Malvina and Alessandra.

  • Our stay at the B & B di Piazza Vittorio has been positive in every way. Alessandra Daveri is an excellent host: attentive, friendly and educated. The beautiful double room we occupied was bright, spacious, comfortable and with everything you need. The breakfast was quite good. The location of the B & B is ideal: a metro station Termini station and 20 minutes walk to the Coliseum. Definitely a great place, highly recommended.

  • Alessandra is the best host to stay with when in Rome. The apartment was exactly as we had imagined from the pictures which were an extremely accurate representation of the house. The neighborhood is both interesting and very convenient for a short or long stay in Rome. We were within 100 paces from the nearest Metro stop and so found Rome very easy to navigate. Our experience really gave us a feel of what it is like to live in Rome, which I loved. Alessandra has taken great care in starting her B&B venture and provides lots of information as well as one or two little souvenirs to remember your stay at Piazza Vittorio. The house is immaculately clean and every morning Alessandra provides an enjoyable breakfast accompanied by coffee. Besides all of the comforts of the apartment and B&B, Alessandra is immensely informed on everything Roman. She provided great advice for every question asked and not only gave perfect directions and suggestions, but when she didn't know something off-hand, she found it out for us. She even gave us great advice on what to do in the other parts of Italy that we were staying in. We definitely plan to stay with her again sometime, hopefully in the near future. Thanks Alessandra!
