Our house is located on a picturesque little street right by the arena. Enjoy the charm of an authentic "arlésienne" house, and a cosy bedroom!
Our stone townhouse has been renovated over the past seven years safekeeping the authentic spirit of local architecture.
The room is at the groundfloor and has an independant access. This is a master bedroom with a private WC and tropical-marble mosaic shower, a queen size bed and a decent amount of storage space for clothes and belongings.
Coffe & tea are available in the room and you can also use the kitchen and help yourself with the breakfast (tea, coffee, cereals, milk, bread & croissants)
The bedroom has an independant access. You will have access to the kitchen and the living-room, where you can have breakfast in the morning & cook anytime you want.
We will do our best to help you to organize your venue in Arles. We're both working the whole day but we love to take some time with our guests in the evening. Obviously, we're available anytime if you have any question or request.
Arles is best known for its Antique Roman heritage, giving it's small streets a picturesque and Provence feeling among the main Roman architectural monuments the city has conserved (in rather good conditions).
Our home is located in the heart of the city center. It is a quiet and friendly street (where you'll most probably see a cat or two sitting on a window ledge...) a step away from the roman Amphitheater and a five minute walk from town hall.
In our neck of the woods you'll find a nice Italian restaurant around the corner, a few secondhand shops, small bakeries, cafés, chocolate/coffee shops as well as high end clothing or wine shops.
The weekly street market (food/clothes...) in Arles is the largest in the region along with Aix-en-Provence, and is held on Saturday mornings. A smaller version is held on Wednesdays.
From a point of view located near the amphitheater, you can look out on the most western part of the Alpilles mountainous range, that extends roughly 25-30km from the Rhône to the Durance valley. Only a 15 minute drive from town, the Alpilles boast of pretty villages, scenic routes in beautiful landscapes, and trails you can hike or bike on.
Vincent van Gogh often painted the Alpilles and spent some time in Arles before passing away. His passage in Arles has left humanity with some of his most appreciated works. The Foundation Van Gogh is due to re-open in their new facilities in April 2014.
Last but not least, Arles was for the Romans and still is a strategic place to live in, as it is the capital of the Camargue. With it's Delta and it's Regional Natural Park (salt marsh, wetlands, horses, flamingos...) the Camargue is a must see for bird lovers.
Arles' location makes it a 25 minute drive to Nîmes,
35 minutes to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer,
40 minutes to Avignon,
55 minute drive to either Aix-en-provence, Marseille, Marseille Airport or Montpellier.
Paris is roughly 3h30 minutes by train.
Our home is within 10 minutes walking distance from the train station.
Great apartment, immaculately clean and well equipped in a very convenient location. A very quiet and calm street in the midst of a pretty busy city. Damien's mother was our contact and she was delightful. Good communication and easy to work with. The only - small - drawback was the bathroom sink/mirror being essentially in the shower. Can't go in there in your socks for a while efter showering. But bathrooms in France are usually small and often a bit "creative" so in the greater picture that was trivial.
There was so cool. And Janet was very kind.
I had a great stay at Chloé & Damien apartment! The location was wonderful (close to everything to train station to monument in walking distance), the apartment was well decorated, clean and comfortable, and Damien's mom was great to deal with (really lovely). I really appreciated her flexibility with check-in/check-out and her quick responses to email enquiries. I would definitely recommend staying here :)
We have had five wonderful days and nights in Arlès. Chloé's and Damien's home is beautiful and furnished with so many different things that make it just individual and lovely.
We spent five great nights and days in the wonderful Arlès in a well equipped and modern furnished house. The beb and the bathroom are comfortable and the kitchen allows you to cook easily. I definetly recommend Damien and Chloé's place!
Thank you Janet (in Chloé and Damien's absence) for making us feel so welcome. The house is an easy walk from the station and perfectly situated in the centre of town. Friday night we were very aware of the socialising that went on until 4 am, some of it right by our (open) window. But the other 5 nights were fine and the house is lovely. We would definitely choose it again.
Accommodations as represented. Janet was great. Recommended.

Very comfortable stay in Arles.
The house is good located! It's very nice to be in the historic center.
Chloé & Damien are sweet hosts.
The house breathes 'life'.
Top top top.
