Urban Downtown! Just off the North West Corner of Taos Plaza is a fabulous building that was once the winter home of the Santistevan Family. Renovated in 2009, this Historic Hacienda now is home to Antonio's Restaurant and to Living Designs Group Architects. In the summer there flows a tiered fountain in the courtyard, surrounded by walls of Hollyhocks. In the winter the snows of Taos Mountain are visible from the front room. Taos Plaza, place of live music, holiday festivals and Fiesta are just across the street.
My husband and Architect Doug Patterson and I have just renovated this space. It serves as a vacation rental to lots of Taos visitors and also as our guest house. We love this property, it is truly one of the gems of Taos.
High quality linens: 100% cotton, high thread count. Clean and bright. Lots of space. Newly renovated.
This apartment has lots of natural light and an urban feel due to it's downtown location. Ski, raft, hike, trail run, mountain bike, visit the skate park or peruse the galleries during the day. Shree Yoga is a block away with as many as 5 classes per day. Take a Photography Tour with a local photographer. Walk to restaurants, live music or take a walking ghost tour of the Historic Downtown Taos in the eve. Or one can simply be served by Antonio's fabulous staff on the front porch. They make excellent fresh guacamole right at the table. Live music in the courtyard on summer evenings.
If you like to have the ability to walk places and experience the heart of downtown, this is the place for you; as urban as it gets for Taos.

Page's Architect Space in "downtown" Taos was beautifully appointed, easily slept three in individual beds, and had easy access to the shopping and restaurants nearby - but also a quick drive to the Ski Valley. Page was very responsive via text/email, and even left some local wine, coffee, and chocolate for us when we arrived. If you have more than one car you may have to pay to park - but that is a very small consideration when everything else about the space is so lovely.
We had such a great stay at Page's "architect's space" apartment - it was much bigger than I'd anticipated and really well appointed. We are a couple but it is definitely suitable for a family with kids or a few friends too. We kept ourselves so busy in Taos as its super well placed so didn't get to take as much advantage of the kitchen and dining area as we'd have liked but will definitely come again for a full week (or more!) and get really settled in. Page was also super easy to work with, very considerate and thoughtful towards us as her guests. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at Page's "Architect's Space". It was a perfect location--just across the street from Taos Plaza. The church bells ring each morning at 7 a.m. This wasn't a problem for us since we're early risers anyway. Page had provided coffee, cream, yogurt, and fruit upon our arrival. This was so helpful--since we arrived from Albuquerque after midnight. Thanks for an amazing time in Taos...we'll be coming back!
This was the lap of luxury in the center of Taos, I can't imagine a better to place to stay if you want to be close to the plaza. An absolutely gorgeous space. Thanks for the wonderful stay.
This loft is a beautifully appointed space, with lush, modern decor. I loved staying so close to the plaza-- it made it so easy to walk to Twirl, the children's play space, the farmer's market, the plaza for shopping, etc. The central location also means nothing is more than a 10 minute drive. I loved it!
