Once my own single residence, this is a custom built one bedroom apartment, and I love to show it off. The duplex house is on a residential street, yet conveniently close to Trader Joe's, Walgreen's, Starbucks and buses heading in every direction and is just an 8 minute walk to local fare.
Since buying this duplex in 1997, this portion of the house has been occupied by myself, then a few long term renters. The other portion of the duplex is where I currently live with my family of four. I will be readily available if you should need anything but entirely out of your space otherwise.
This one bedroom apartment includes a full kitchen with a comfortable eating bar for two, private laundry and a newly remodeled tile and marble bathroom. A crib is also available should you need one.
No smoking in the house or on the property.
Nothing loud after 7:30 p.m.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Anthony was really a very considerate host. Before we arrived, he wrote us very thorough and detailed instructions. That made our checkin really smooth. The place is exactly what is showed on Airbnb site, it feels even warmer and cozier when you exactly lived in. To our delight, we find everything we need in our four day staying when it comes to.
Nice and quiet neiborhood, the family are very friendly. A very pleasant and satisfying stay for us.
Anthony was a great host and gave a very warm welcome upon our arrival. The listing is accurate, and the space was clean and comfortable. Although it was quiet for the most part, do keep in mind that there's a family with 2 young energetic children living under the same roof on the other side of the duplex so occasional noise is to be expected. The location was also very safe and convenient (super close to Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and Walgreens). We travelled here with our own vehicle, so we cannot comment on ease of public transportation. Thanks Anthony for a wonderful first time experience with Airbnb!
I had my second stay with Anthony and his family and it was a nice quiet retreat. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a comfortable and quiet location to spend a couple of days
This spot is great! The location is fantastic (around the corner from Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and Wallgreens), and perfect if you are visiting Reed College.
Anthony was a great host - kind and welcoming, and the house itself is charming and cozy. I definitely hope to stay here in the future.
Staying with Anthony was very relaxing and he was a gracious host by making sure that I had what I needed in order to have a great stay!
It was great having Anthony right next door. He had suggestions and tips, and was very easy going about the checkin and checkout. It's a very charming one-bedroom - the pictures don't really do all the details justice - and it was a nice quiet residential neighborhood, but also close to a few cool dinner / bar / shopping areas we had on our to do list.
I have Canadian roots, traveled Europe, lived in the Czech Republic and went to college a couple hours South of Portland. Most of my life, however, has been lived here in this humble zip code in SE Portland. Not just a townie that is stuck where he grew up, rather, I really like it here and I like to tell people about Portland and hope that I represent our city well.
