  • Alice's place was beautiful and comfortable. Because you had to go to the main house to use the restroom we also had many opportunities to talk to Alice. She is a very caring, sweet, and incredibly interesting women.

The house is located in a great area making it easy to walk to town, go for a run, or just enjoy the quiet neighborhood.

  • Staying in Sag Harbor is like diving into another world and Alice's cute little cottage in this wounderful garden was like the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. You want to party? Than stay away! But if you like us, looking for a great place to relax and just enjoy life in 'slow motion', this is the place to visit. Alice is a very interested, lively and helpfull host who has good ideas what to see (and what not - Alice, you where soooo right about the Guggenheim!)
I definitely recomend Alice as a host, even for people who might be afraid of dogs because Puck is just super sweet to everyone!

  • We felt very welcome in Alise's home. The studio and main house were beautiful, cozy, and clean. Alise is a kind and welcoming host, and so is Puck! We were able to walk to Sag Harbor, and from there, we took the local buses to Montauk, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, and Southampton. It was a wonderful trip!

  • My girlfriend an I spent 3 Nights in Alice's cozy cottage. She and her husband are a very friendly and helpful persons, with a lot of information about Sag Harbor and Long Island.
Her garden is very beautiful with a lot of birds. The cottage and also her house were very clean.

We would definitely come back to her cottage. Thank you!

  • Alise´s little studio in her beautiful garden is actually prettier than in the picture. It is warm and bright and comfortable. Alise herself is a great person, warm and caring, interesting and a joy to spend time with.
I spent a few days here and Alise made me feel right at home. She (email hidden), full of interesting information.
Sag Harbor is a very pretty, quaint little village. I biked around it and had the nicest time. I also spent some time in the garden, which is biodynamic, full of birds and very lovingly tended to by Alise. I regret I did not get to meet her husband, but I spent nice moments chatting with Alise in her kitchen, and got to meet her charming pup, Puck.
If you are looking for some quiet time and a host you will not forget, this little studio is the one you should look at first.
I loved it, I fully recommend it, and would love to stay here again if I were ever to go back to the Hamptons.

  • We had a relaxing break in Sag Habor at Alise's cottage. The room was lovely, light and warm with a comfortable bed and soft linens. The house itself has a great atmosphere – very calming. Alise is friendly, accommodating, aware and interesting. Puck the dog is so cute too. Absolutely loved the village of Sag Harbor and would recommend visitors to stay here instead of the other towns in The Hamptons. Thanks for hosting us! A++

  • We had a fabulous stay here. I think Alise was surprised we wished to visit in the Winter months, but the area was so beautiful that we didn't mind one bit. The little cottage it very cosy with a little TV and fridge, it's prefect for what we needed. The bathroom was in the main house but this wasn't a bother at all.
Sag Harbour was our favourite town of all the Hampton towns (Southampton was a close second). So I highly reccomend staying here. Alise's property is only a short walk to the towns restaurants and shops, so a perfect location.
You need a car to get around, we hired ours from JFK airport and took just under 2 hours to get to Sag Harbour. There is a great restaurant called The Cuddy which we really enjoyed, but not everything is open in the Winter, and it seemed that we would have had more choice of restuarants in The Hamptons if we had arrrived in time for St Paddy's Day as a lot of places close in the Winter time! Great place to stay :)

  • Me and my boyfriend stayed in this cute gardenhouse for a weekendtrip. We went there at the beginning of October, we had luck with weather. Sag Harbor, the ocean and the garden had beautiful fall atmosphere. It was perfect to calm down. The host Alise was very helpful with everything, polite and we really feel at home at her place. We would definitly come back if it would be a little bit closer to Germany! The gardenhouse was really cute and we enjoyed every minute in this comfortable place.

  • It does not get any more unique than Alise! From the moment I arrived, she was very gracious to even offer to pick me up at the bus stop. Despite the fact she may have found me bizarre that I came up to Sag Harbor for 4 days just to WORK on my laptop, we seemed to get along just fine. Her cottage is as described, a very quaint little mini home with clean sheets, a great work area, a beautiful garden, heat and A/C, and an occasional guest visitor from a pup named Puck. Alise made me feel right at home and made it very clear her home was my home, and that I shouldn't knock or feel uncomfortable at all about coming into the main house to use the bathroom or grab a glass of water, (email hidden) the way, the water she has is awesome, purified by this funky device that you'll have to see for yourself.

Alise is sure to help you enjoy your stay and offers you privacy and space while also being available to answer any question you might have.

Being a 2 minute bike ride from town is a huge plus, and the whole property is just relaxing and well taken care of.

I'm hoping to rejoin her and the cottage this winter....
