We’re also within walking distance of two beautiful public beaches, perfect for a morning stroll or an afternoon swim. Nestled on the lake side of Highway 89 in a quiet West Shore neighborhood, Idlewild at Tahoe offers an experience few vacation rentals can match. The estate-like setting greets you with lush green lawns, a circular driveway, and the peaceful feeling of a private mountain escape.

Our unique location is right beneath Eagle Rock, an easy hike with some of the most breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Two beautiful public beaches are within walking distance, and the Tahoe bike trail runs right past the neighborhood—perfect for scenic rides into nearby Tahoe City. Blackwood Canyon, just one minute away, offers a gentle 3-mile road leading to the base of Barker Pass, one of Tahoe’s best-kept secrets.

Designed for Entertaining and Relaxation
The living room’s 40-foot cathedral ceilings, gorgeous wood-burning fireplace, and 60-inch TV set the tone for gathering with family and friends. The open floor plan flows seamlessly into the dining area and gourmet kitchen, featuring a 6-burner gas range, double ovens, two sinks, and a wet bar. Just outside, the deck is home to a 12-person hot tub and a summer dining area—perfect for coffee at sunrise or stargazing at night.

Flying Mj and Patti fell in love with Tahoe over 35 years ago. They finally bought there home in Tahoe so their large family could continue to create memories. They were so excited when this house listed because it was under eagle rock on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Now that there retired they are traveling more than ever but still get to use the house in the summer months. So the offering is for the winter months only.
