Our new carriage house is a private retreat in our East Nashville neighborhood. We are close to downtown and a block from the city bus line. It comfortably accommodates two and is next to a large city park. Enjoy the private suite with full bath.
Our guest suite is a private room and bath above our detached garage. The garage is 2012 construction in our historical neighborhood. We will be staying in the main home on our property while you enjoy the privacy of your separate space. The accommodations are similar to a hotel room: queen bed, a full size leather sleeper sofa, TV, sitting table, and bathroom with shower. Parking is available on our driveway or on the street in front of our house.
The suite has central air conditioning and heat and lots of windows. The TV is digital over the air broadcast with approximately 20 channels. The space is on the second floor up one flight of stairs.
In addition to your private guest suite over the garage, you will have access to our backyard and screen porch. The porch is perfect for relaxing in front of a fire on a cool evening, watching TV, or just relaxing.
Interaction with Guests
Our interaction with you varies depending on our schedule and your preference. We love our Nashville and are happy to point you towards recommended sites or restaurants.
We are a quiet retreat in the middle of it all. We are close to our neighborhood hot spot, the Five Points district, and within walking distance of several popular restaurants. We are at the edge of our East Nashville neighborhood next to the city’s largest park. Enjoy the stars and the quiet solitude while being only minutes away from the Country Music Hall of Fame, museums, and more.
Shelby Park is a large city park next to our home. It features a public golf course, driving range, tennis courts, playgrounds, duck pond, ball fields, and green way, a linear park along the Cumberland River.
We are happy to point you in the right direction for sightseeing and dining. We love our city and look forward to your visit.
Downtown and the rest of Nashville is easily accessible by car, MTA bus, cab, or bike.
Bus #4 (Shelby) stops 1 block from the house. Nashville's bike share program, called B Cycle, has a bike kiosk at Five Points (8 blocks).

John and Mike were so great! Although, last minute, they headed out of town they offered to drive us to the airport in the morning so that we could up a rental car! On the way, they showed us around their neighborhood, five points and the great restaurants and even showed us the homes used in the TV show Nashville. The carriage house was perfect! Clean, spacious, and had everything we needed including TONS of fresh towels! They even had a little basket that had little granola bars and coffee creamers and different sugar choice. And then finally, when we arrived, they had placed two little nashville snacks that are popular as a welcoming gift which was great:)
The accommodation is large and spacious with wonderful privacy. The bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels are very good quality. The location is good 15 mins from downtown by bus but there is also a small community close by that is within walking distance and it has a good collection of bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
Nashville has class and so does the Carriage House we highly recommend it.
I loved the carriage house as soon as my husband and I arrived. It's just like the pictures, super adorable and perfectly located! John and Mike were both extremely welcoming, we were welcomed by chocolates on the bed, free transport passes, a book full of suggestions for what to do in Nashville, and plenty of toiletries for us to use. We didn't see John and Mike much more than a few moments but they were so wonderful.
I'm so glad we decided to stay with them.
Absolutely everything about John and Mike's Private Carriage House was perfect and exactly as it was listed online. They truly know how to make people feel like they're walking into a vacation in their cute, quaint East Nashville neighborhood while setting the tone with beautiful landscaping and immaculate upkeep of their property. The location was removed enough to give us an authentic feel of lifestyle and neighborhood there, but close enough to downtown where transportation getting there was not an issue at all.
You could tell that John & Mike have really made some great investments in making sure that everything is as user friendly as possible for you upon arrival and throughout your stay. I have to say, as someone who works 14-15 hours a day and has to do a lot of problem solving in his job, it was such a relief to have every type of possible worry taken care of for me. These guys are the real deal. WHEN, not if, we return to Nashville, we will 100% make sure we stay here again :)
My husband & I stayed at the famous Gaylord property in Nashville just six months earlier and must say that John and Mike's accommodations by FAR exceeded our experience there! Returning to Nashville just six months later we simply can not say enough about how thoughtful these hosts were with their regional chocolate "Goo-Goos" left on our pillows, coffee pot/fresh coffee pods & creamers (and cups), bottled water, cookies, etc. Their BEAUTIFUL property and the room you'll stay in is tucked in a quiet neighborhood but just a couple of miles from Nashville's trendiest spots such as downtown's Broadway Street, The Patterson House speakeasy, the Bicentennial Park, etc. The bed was exquisitely comfortable, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the lush linens and towels were like what you'd expect at a lavish resort. The neighborhood is so very charming and chock full of fun and trendy spots to visits; bars with outstanding beers and food, gift boutiques, etc., and all within walking distance. This was our second Airbnb experience and now we fear they've set the bar too high for our hopes for future stays elsewhere. EVERY TIME we return to Nashville we'll check first to see if their room is available :0) Thank you, so very, very, much! Our only regret was that we didn't get to meet you in person to tell you how grateful we were for your hospitality!
The hosts were phenomenal! Had a sign on the door to welcome us, provided a binder with information around town such as, places to eat, entertainment, activities etc. Place was very homey anD well taken care of. first time using airbnb, but it was a great experience. Hope to go back if we go back to Nashville.
John and Mike were so helpful. They live in a great neighborhood and have a very unique house. They were great helping us with directions and giving us the local info for music and restaurants. We were definitely stay here on a return trip to Nashville.
John travels a lot, mostly for work. We enjoy seeing our country's diverse landscapes and meeting new people.
We began hosting in the spring of 2013, so we've now used Airbnb to both travel and host. We enjoy the Airbnb platform and its trusting environment.
