A two story terraced cottage which has been restored to a high standard. It's located in the center of Roundstone on Marine Terrace. It's a short walk to all bars, restaurants and shops and a two minute drive from beaches in Dogs Bay and Gurteen.
The traditional exterior belies the modern airy interior. Downstairs, a large open plan living, dining area with galley kitchen. Upstairs, two double bedrooms and a large bathroom. It will comfortably accommodate two couples
The house doesn't really lend itself to sharing, so it's being let in its entirety. All yours to enjoy!
Interaction with Guests
My primary residence is elsewhere so I probably won't get to meet you. My young associate, Richard, handles bookings and access to the property, so you'll hear from him when you make an inquiry.
Roundstone is a little gem. It has a great selection of pubs and restaurants (check out O'Dowds in particular) and is minutes away from two beautiful beaches. The journey from Galway city passes through spectacular scenery in Connemara. A great base for alls sort of outdoor pursuits - cycling, walking and watersports
There's a bus service from Galway, but realistically the best way to get here is by car (or bicycle!). There's plenty of free parking right beside the house.
Once you're installed, most amenities are accessible on foot or by bicycle.
Lovely house - clean, spacious, beautifully designed. Very central but not in a busy or loud area. Perfect access to everything and parking outside the door. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again in the future. Nothing but praise for all interactions too!
The house is incredible and so comfy. We are just back from a lovely 3 night stay and I'm already looking forward to booking again. The house has everything you would need and Mark & Richard have kindly put together a book of activities in the area. A great base for an adventure in Connemara!
Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and warm, great open plan kitchen/living/dining area though it is divided by stairs and walls so well defined. The kitchen is fully equipped, ( dishwasher not working ) the seating area very cosy and comfortable with stove to supplement the electric storage (website hidden) is provided but not connected to signal, DVDs are available and there is an excellent bose radio/cd player. All furniture , floors and light fittings are very high quality, so many switches for lights it's confusing, some bulbs need replacing.
Two double bedrooms upstairs, the main room has plenty of wardrobe space, king size bed and great views out over the bay. Bathroom is a great size with bath, separate shower and vanity area. Seemed to be no heating in the bathroom so it felt slightly colder than the rest of the cottage.
From the initial booking communication was excellent, all questions answered promptly, directions provided and though we never met check in was easy and trouble free.
There is no parking at the cottage though there is plenty of public parking in the immediate area.
Super cottage in a beautiful area, effortless booking and check in so very highly recommended. A 5 star experience for B&B price. We were two but could easily accommodate 4.
Booking was simple, directions are easy and the house is lovely. I stayed here with two friends for three nights and we all had plenty of room to cook, relax, sleep and shower. The place is wonderfully situated in the midst of shops, restaurants and bars, and is a well appointed. I would have loved a few extra days there! Working with Richard was quick and easy.
Had a really enjoyable two nights in this beautiful little cottage in Roundstone. It was well heated and excellently situated. Mark's associate gave us great directions and instructions for the house which made it very easy to find and be comfortable from the moment we arrived (which was very late on a Friday night). My partner and I have stayed in a few Air BnBs in Ireland and the amenities of this stay really set it above some of the others; there were plenty of towels, tea and coffee, and some food if we needed it. It's the small things that count! The area is gorgeous and we are considering coming back in the summer.
Lovey cosy cottage - perfect for a 4 night break for 2 people. Lots to see and do in the area and a few pubs/ restaurant in walking distance if you don't feel like driving.
I live in Galway city. The house in Roundstone is my vacation bolthole, but I also rent it out from time to time. I have a young associate, Richard , who helps me with bookings and with arranging access to the house so you'll hear from Richard when you make a booking.
