Lovely design loft in the center

House - Entire home/apt · Cannaregio, Venice, Veneto 30121, Italy

The Space

The “Enchanted City” is a modern loft placed in the suggestive location of Cannaregio, a residential neighbourhood still untouched by tourism and very close to Ponte di Rialto, Piazza San Marco and all the main artistic and cultural attractions. The two-floor flat develops on 70 squared metres: on the ground floor it has a large and bright living room with kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower. The design stairs lead to the upper floor, with high wooden roof and skylights: here there is a luminous double room and another bathroom with shower. The particular compound that includes the loft was an old industrial building that has been converted in a residence: in 2008 this project won the award for Venice architecture. All the apartments face towards a typical inner square that ensures quietness and privacy.

Check In
  • L'appartement de Nicola est très bien situé , près du canal et des vaporetto. Très agréable en période de carnaval pour un retour au calme!

Le logement est bien équipé , meublé et très agréable.

    Je le recommande vivement!

  • We went to Venice for a long weekend. And the apartement was great! Better than in the pictures, it was a very nice experience. Very well equiped and nice design and very clean.
A friend of Nicola received us, and gave us some good tips about Venice.
Location perfect. Near the Piazzale Roma, walking distance to everything and very close to excellent restaturants outside of the turistic area, I mean restaurant for venetians ;-)
So overall, a great experience. Everything went smooth, easy, and much better than expected.
Highly recommended. If you visit Venice, go to Nicola apartment.
We will repeat for sure !

  • Nicola's place is a perfect base for Venice. It is located in a less touristy part of the city - lots of local-orientated bars and restaurants, so a nice place to spend some downtime. The drawback is it is relatively far from San Marco and the heart of Venice tourist attractions - a half-hour walk, or half-hour vaporetto ride - so if that's important to you you might want to look elsewhere. We really enjoyed being a bit out of the tourist madness though. We were met on arrival at the vaporetto stop (right by the flat, so an easy transfer from Marco Polo) by a friend of Nicola's, who showed us how everything worked and suggested some good local restaurants. The flat itself is better than in the pictures - very comfortable, well-stocked kitchen, iron, etc. A slight miscommunication about checkout time meant the cleaner arrived while we were still there. Overall an excellent stay and a lovely place to be in Venice.

  • We come to Venice quite often and we are used to renting places there. Nicola's apartment is definitely on the top list!

It does look like on the photographs, spacious enough for two, quiet and equipped as described. The place is furnished with taste, the Internet works, there is a DVD player and a few good movies to watch, an IPod/Iphone deck stands by the bed. No last-minute hidden fee either, everything is included.

Only 20 minutes away from the San Marco Airport (Alilaguna arancio line), it is well situated, south of the Gettho. It is close to anywhere and far enough from the noisy and hectic touristic scenes that can get so annoying.

One little problem though: Valentina was almost 2 hours late to meet and walk us to the apartment. Since it was sunny that day, it was not much of an issue after all…

Definitely a place that I will rent again!

  • Wonderful apartment. It was exactly what we needed for our vacation. Location is perfect and the private garden just added to it. The facilities at the apartment were as detailed by the host.
Our only suggestion is for the those who get to the airport to take the boat (and not the bus). That way they reach very close to the apartment instead of having the walk from the meeting point, which maybe long if you are carrying heavy weight.
But as I said this is the ONLY problem we had.
    Thanks Nicola and Valentina

  • I really love this house! You get a spacious two stores apartment with everything you need for a living! It is a bit hot in summer(when 30+ outside), but opening all windows helps. We used a kitchen to cook breakfasts and I liked how it is equipped - all is new and of a good quality! My friend, who is crazy about the furniture brands sayer there are some designer chairs and the furniture is brandy. I can only say that it is great designed.
Lady that met us on the checkin was very helpful and answered all my questions.
Location is great-close to the stations. Not so many tourist on the street, but several steps away from the main tourist routes!
    Definitely recommend this apartment'

  • Great apartment - very quiet and spacious.
Everything that I expected. Only slightly annoying aspect was a wait of over 30minutes at Piazzale Roma to be met even after I had called from airport.
Was provided with excellent list of restaurants and bars - I went a number of these and they were all great.

  • You can see from the photos that Nicola's apartment is gorgeous. No need to say more. It's exactly as it looks. The location is perfect... along a larger canal with a vaporetto but off the main tourist streets. The fact that its on an interior court means it's quiet at night. If you take the backway through the courtyard it's just a 9 minute walk to the train station. Nicola's assistant Julia met us at the main bus drop off point and walked us along the main streets all the way to the appartment which was great since, once you've been to Venice you'll know it can be a bit of a maze. She was also very helpful in pointing us to a few less travelled spots to not miss. I can't think how the apartment our our hosts could have been better. Stay here you won't be disappointed.

  • The close proximity to the central station is a god send in Venice. It is also close to a main shopping Via with everything you'll need. The apartment must be one of the nicest in Venice. Newly renovated and in a very modern style with plenty of space and even a garden ( rare in Venice let me assure you ). Good air conditioning both up and downstairs is a big plus in summer. We'd definitely stay there again. Worth a few extra pennies I reckon. Thanks Mirko.
