The space
Miners Refuge is an all-season cabin retreat in Mazama with exceptional views and well appointed interiors. The home is available for up to 4 guests, with two queen bedrooms each with connected bathrooms.

The generous open plan living space has floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors opening onto the patio, and offering views across the meadow to the mountains beyond. This space includes a kitchen with steel countertops and kitchen island, dining table, and lounge space with leather couch arranged around the nordic-style wood stove.

Adjacent to the living space is the nest, which is an extension of the living room. The nest has four built in couches making it a perfect for hang-out space for reading. Book shelves, games, and a small TV can also be found in this space.

The two queen bedrooms are a half level above the living area, accessed by short stairs and a corridor. Two identical bathrooms are located between the bedrooms, each with access from the adjacent bedroom and the corridor.

The entryway has ample space for boots and outdoor gear, along with closets and laundry cupboard. An alcove off the main living room provides a desk space for remote working.

Outside there is a lovely partially covered patio with a large dining table and BBQ grill, as well as a fire pit with four adirondack chairs and a wooden bench. An outdoor shower can be found to the rear of the house.

The cabin has polished concrete floors with radiant in-floor heating and additional heating provided by the wood-stove. There is no air-conditioning, however, generous overhangs help prevent summer overheating, and each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan.

Designed by award winning local architects, Johnston Architects, this is a remarkable retreat and rare opportunity to experience a stay in one of Mazama’s most sought after locations. The house is so well integrated with its site that it is almost hidden by native trees and shrubs and offers both privacy and views.

Other things to note
Miners Refuge sleeps up to 4 guests. Four guests are included in the nightly rental price.

Pets are not allowed.

For winter stays a local snow plowing service takes care of the Chechaquo ranch road and the driveway. Please be patient after snow storms as they have many properties to clear. You may need to shovel the entryway area.

PRICING
Please note that the nightly rate varies with seasons and weekdays, please enter your proposed dates for an accurate quote. A 5% weekly discount is automatically applied to stays of 7 nights or more.
