Standard double room, double bed, cupboard and desk provided. Room has central heating and double glazing.
Guests will have access to Wifi, Sky on Demand, bath/shower room, kitchen, dinning room, washing machine.
I am more than happy to chat and spend time with guests. However a free babysitting /clean up after/ job finding/ rent a friend/ language school service is not part of the deal. I also work full time and there are times when I like some privacy
The neighbourhood is very safe. I have lived here for six years without a problem. There is also a large Tesco nearby and the immediate area has a small selection of shops and takeaways.
The house is very close to the 82 and 26/27 bus routes. The former will take you to the city centre or towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The latter will take you directly to Anfield Stadium. A short 82 bus ride will also take you to Lark Lane, a popular restaurant and drinking area. My house is in easy reach of Liverpool city centre, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the universities, the two cathedrals and other major tourist attractions such as Liverpool One, the Albert Dock, the Echo Arena, Sefton Park, Liverpool F.C., Everton F.C. and the Chinese Arch.
I occasionally get requests to cater for a party of three, so as a special package I have decided to make a fold down couch bed available for an additional £15. If you are interested in this deal, click on “My Other Listings” on right hand side of page.
Please be aware on weekdays I have an 18.00 check in policy. This is because I work during the week. Most days I am back home around 17.30. So this is the earliest I can check you in. Check in times at weekends are more flexible.
We only stayed with David for one night but he was a very kind host. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable - it was exactly what we needed for our short stay in such a wonderful city.
David has been very helpfull to us. The riom was very welcoming and location is good as we were at walking distance from main pubs and restaurants.
Nice place and very helpful host! No problems at all. Good wifi and very close to the centre.
Perfect! We stayed for 5 nights by David to visit Liverpool. David has a nice house, bathroom and kitchen what we all could use and free wifi. David is a friendly host and provides you also from maps of Liverpool and other information. His house is total prepared for his guests and the location of Davids house is perfect to visit town, The busstop is by his house and taxis are passing by every minute and bring you to town under 5 pounds.
In the neaberhood is also everything for breakfast, diner and grosery (tesco)
We are planning to visit Liverpool more often and we certainly will be glad to stay by David.
Value for money, apart from someone else's hair on the bed.. The host was nice and reserved, the house comfortably located
David is a really nice and polite host.
We stayed there only one night, it was really clean and the bed was comfy.
Thank you for the map.
If you want excellent value for money for a basic room close to the centre of Liverpool this would be hard to beat. David was welcoming and helpful
My girlfriend and I were eleven days at David´s home. We didn´t like anything.
Firstly, he offered us a basic breakfast in advance. But he just gave us milk out of date. Even we had to buy milk.
Secondly, we could use the kitchen but I am sorry, he was not too tidy. For instance, David did not never do the washing up after finishing to eat. He put the dirty cuttlery, plates, pans and soucepans in the kitchen. He had only two forks, tow spoons, three plates and two burnt saucepans/ pans. Then we had to wash his dirty dishes in order to have lunch, dinner or breakfast.
Also the mattress was too old and it was full of springs.
On the other hand, he was really impolite, unfriendly with us. He preferred staying in his closed living room to spendind some time with us.
I would just recommend this house to anyone who only wants to sleep less than two night, but you should not use the kitchen.
Not sure what Carlos and his girlfriend were expecting for £20.00 per night. Guests are invited to help themselves to a basic breakfast - corn flakes and milk plus a cup of tea or an orange dilute drink. I sometimes freeze milk and later transfer it to the fridge when needed. It is perfectly safe to use. Most guests take advantage of the wide variety of restaurants/takeaways and the large Tesco nearby to cater for themselves. I think this is reasonable for the price. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen but it does not come with the equipment of a 5 star hotel/restaurant or the cleaner I think Carlos was expecting. It was difficult to clean the kitchen when it was taken over by Carlos and girlfriend, who incidentally never put anything away after themselves, making the job even harder. I am more than happy to chat and spend time with the many interesting guests I have hosted. However a free babysitting /clean up after/ job finding/ rent a friend/ language school service is not part of the deal. I provide a simple double room in a clean and tidy house very close to Liverpool city centre which numerous reviews have noted is value for money.
We stayed at David's from the 21-23 February as my cousin and I came into the city to catch the Liverpool match against Swansea. David was very kind and greeted us on our arrival.
The room was extremely clean and pleasant. It a spacious room with a comfortable double bed. The toilet and bathroom very really clean and tidy as well.
David was kind to allow us to use his fridge for us to place our breakfast items and chill some beers.
Would absolutely stay at David's again when I return to the city during the next season to watch another Liverpool FC match
