We spent 3 nights in the lovely house of Ken and Bev. They are very nice people who gave us a very friendly welcome. Everything is perfect in this airBNB , absolutely as described on the site. If we come back to Yorshire -which we hope, we'll be very pleased to book with them again !
Bev and Kev were the best Airbnb hosts we've ever had! Kev was kind enough to collect us from the station, then drop us off in Scarborough on both Saturday and Sunday morning. Their home is lovely, very comfortable and spacious. I would recommend to anyone to stay here when visiting the Yorkshire coast.
Wonderful Bev and Kev!!! How happy I was to stay with such a fabulous, warm, easy-going, young-at-heart couple!! I felt like I was staying with family, and my welcome couldn't have been warmer! Bev and Kev have a beautiful house, garden and attitude to travelers and travel alike! My room/bed/bathroom was MORE then enough-I only wish I could have stayed longer!! They also had plenty to tell me about their own travels...which was entertaining and warm. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay-I highly recommend staying with them both. I hope I can go back and see them very soon!!!! :)
For starters, the accommodation was probably the most clean and modern one that we had lived in so far. The room was pretty spacious with easy access to toilet and a small, cozy living room attached to it. There is a door that separates this section of the house from the rest of the house which provides good enough privacy for the guests. Although I must say the highlight of the house is the massive backyard, you could even call it a park that can be taken advantage of whether you're with kids or come as a couple. It's even got a couple of good sit-outs to spend some quality time with your loved ones.
The house is about 10 mins away to the city center in bus (bus stop is just few steps away) but if you're looking to have a drink close by, there's a really good pub of good size just round the corner. Morrisons is near by too if you wana pick up some stuff and so is the train station. Talking about the hosts, Bev is an absolute darling, ever so caring and friendly with the guests. She is an avid traveler herself so can completely empathize with the guests. She even came out all the way to the main street to guide us through, besides was also willing to pick/drop us to the station. I would strongly recommend to one and all to go for this one as I can assure 100% satisfaction.
We had a fantastic time and felt right at home! Highly recommended and will surely return asap. Perfect hosts and gorgeous home in good location!!
My husband Bob and I really enjoyed our stay with Bev and Kev. This was our first airbnb experience, and it has encouraged us to go on and try more in the future. The hosts were warm and most welcoming, very relaxed and we felt privileged to have met such friendly and genuine people. Their house is stunning, and set up so as to enable guests privacy if required. Accomodation includes the large double bedroom, private bathroom and lounge, all very comfortable, everywhere immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. We stayed on a really sunny evening; we were made most welcome outside too, and their garden is amazing! I highly recommend you visit! Oh yes, I nearly forgot! We were visiting Filey (gorgeous) and the accommodation was very conveniently located.
Warmest experience of my British journey! A cup of tea and the sun shines again...
Excellent, fabulous hosts! I want to go back to see Bev and Kev !! They greeted us in a warm and friendly way and make us very welcome. The house and garden was like out of a home magazine, very clean and comfortable and private. Our accommodation was totally separate from the family living areas and relaxing with comfortable beds. Short drive to city or public transport available.Would highly recommend this accommodation
Bev and Kev are the very spirit of what AirBnB are about - providing a home away from home, including privacy, rest, and personal space. We had a fantastic stay with them in their beautiful house over the weekend. Just for one night, but still so enjoyable. No restrictions on check in or check out - we slept for twelve hours in their cosy, clean, comfortable and private room. Essentially, the front of their home is yours while you stay. You have your own entrance and key to the front door, bedroom, private sitting room and bathroom, which are all separated from the rest of the house by a hallway door - so privacy is absolute. Wifi is there if you feel the need to stay connected to the rest of the world. Gorgeous hot shower after a day by the sea, comfy bed, black-out curtains. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, and a continental style breakfast on offer in the morning (or afternoon in our case) when you rise. Not to mention the glorious sweeping view of Bev and Kev's back garden while you munch. Two kind-hearted lovely people who made our sunny weekend getaway to the coast even warmer, and who know when to leave you be and when to have a chat. A wonderful bnb experience. Can't recommend them enough.
We spent a lovely weekend with Bev and Kev in their spacious bungalow with a huge garden. The accommodation was clean and tastefully presented throughout. Thoughtful details like a tea tray in the room; a help yourself breakfast and a private TV room helped us feel comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Bev is a warm and generous host and gave us useful information about things to do and places to visit. Although we had our car with us we used public transport to explore Scarborough, Whitby and the local area as the bungalow is situated near to excellent transport links. Great value and highly recommended for anyone wanting a base to explore this fascinating part of Yorkshire. Thank you Bev and Kev for welcoming us into your beautiful home
