About this listing
Come and stay in the smallest eco resort in the world, perched on a 3.5 acre hillside with stunning views of the Pacific. Nestled into your own private jungle, you're immersed in a tranquil oasis, where, lying in a hammock from your balcony, you're as likely to see hummingbirds, butterflies and iguanas as you are to hear monkeys, crickets and the gentle breeze.
Your private casita (cabin) comes fully equipped with everything you need for a self catered stay in paradise. It offers spacious open plan living with a private balcony (equipped with four seater table and chairs, hammock chair and hammock) and an open invitation to enjoy sunset over the Pacific.
Las Mananitas is 100% off the grid, so it's a perfect place to relax and re-connect to nature and yourself. All water comes from a 450ft deep well, and all energy is solar (with a generator for backup, so you're minimising your carbon footprint, too).
The midday heat presents a perfect opportunity for a dip in the pool, a stones throw from your casita. Relax on the deck chairs or in the hammock; it's up to you. Your casita has it's own outdoor bbq for cooking under the stars.
With one queen size bed and a couch that extends into another double bed, you have enough space for four adults, that is also perfect for a family. Your shower room and toilet are just off the main living area. The kitchen has basic cooking equipment and utensils (including an espresso stove top coffee maker), as well as a medium fridge and gas stove & full oven. Anything else you might need? You just need to ask ;)
Buy groceries from here, from town, or from the local fruit & veg truck that drives by 3 x a week. Fresh eggs are sold just down the road. It's all fresh, fresh, fresh!
We are a five min drive, 12 min bike ride and 30 min walk to the beach at Playas Majagual & Maderas, where you can wile away hours either surfing, sun bathing, or exploring the other beaches.
Las Mananitas is perfect if you have a car; if not, we can arrange pick up for you in Managua, Granada, or San Juan del Sur. While here, you can get around by bike or walking, or a ride from me ;) Lonely Planet has a great overview of the area.
Looking forward to sharing this little slice of heaven with you.
Smoking allowed outside and on the balcony, but not inside the casita.
Be respectful to other guests, the animals and the land
