Come visit the Bywater Neighborhood, we have everything ya need and a 12 min walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. Work in progress since 1809. Bikes available for rent

All new appliances in the heart of the Bywater. You can roll out of bed and be at Elizabeth's for brunch (across the street 4 houses down). We have newer cruiser bikes for rent.

The space

Come stay at my spacious (1,100 sq ft with 14 ft ceilings) and accommodating 160 year old shotgun house in the vibrant Bywater community of New Orleans. The house is a one bedroom with a living room, dining room, full kitchen and two bathrooms. The living room is equipped with a sleeper sofa which can be used as a bedroom (full bathroom next to it).

Guests enjoy a vast amount of space rarely enjoyed on vacations and all the conveniences of home.

The neighborhood is amazing. The Mississippi river runs right by the house. Boats and breeze make you feel a part of the city and its history.
Guests can roll right out bed and across the street to Elizabeth's for duck confit waffles and praline cooked bacon after dancing the night away at any of the neighborhood's great music venues. Vaughn's is swinging on Thursday night when Kermit Ruffins hits the floor. Mimi's is always on time but especially so on Saturdays when DJ Soul Sister kicks out the rare grooves. The outdoor patio at Bacchanal is just blocks away and always has great wine by the bottle and even better live music. Coffee shops, galleries, and cool junk stores are all in the neighborhood and just steps from your door.

Travel and Leisure Magazine have voted Elizabeths one of the best brunch restaurants in America.

The French Quarter is a beautiful walk or bike/bus ride away... but you wont want to leave the neighborhood. Remodeled with great design from France and beyond.

We also rent bikes for $15 a day!

30 day offered

Robert was the most amazing host! He accommodated us last minute as we had to evacuate our home due to Hurricane Irma. We enjoyed our shot gun home in the Bywater as well as the nearby restaurants. Fell in love the moment we walked in... Beautiful home with so much charm and character... will be staying here again!

Great location in the Bywater close to so many local restaurants! Plenty of space and were pleasantly surprised by the availability of home conveniences (towels, linens, bathroom supplies). Such an authentic feel and look to the apartment. Hope to be back again soon!

I come every year for Jazz Fest and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Love the place, neighborhood, the bikes and the ease of communication.

I can't recommend Robert's place highly enough. The house is a historic gem appointed with beautiful antiques. The neighborhood is great. We ate at Elizabeth's for breakfast both mornings we were there. And would have gone back a third if we had stayed another night. :) Bachanel is great as is Pizza Delicious and the Country Club. A short Uber ride to the Quarter, CBD or Uptown. Robert is quick to respond to texts. Check in and out was a breeze. Highly Recommend! Would definitely like to stay here the next time I'm in town. Thank you...

Robert's space was perfect for us. The kitchen was well-appointed, there were two full bathrooms, and there was lots of room to spread out. Thanks for a great visit.

Great place to stay - house has a ton of space and the decor is fun! Frenchman Street/French Quarter is super easy to walk to. Crescent park is right next door and there are many great spots for dinner, brunch, coffee in the area. We rented bikes and I highly recommend it – made it super easy to get anywhere in the city. A great place to stay.

Roberts place was exactly what me and my friends were looking for. Awesome location that was only a 10 minute Uber to the French quarter (about $8-$10 there), or you could a ride a bike if you'd like. The neighborhood itself was beautiful and had a great sense of community to it. You could easily walk around it and visit the local restaurants and bars and still get a great nola experience. The house was very spacious with updated appliances. The man living in the adjacent home was very cool, and even gave us some tips if we ran into him. All in all great house/neighborhood would defintely stay again.
