About this listing
Large Double Poppy Room
You have your choice of pretty bedrooms, one with a double bed or a room with two singles. Large bathroom has bath and shower; it is only shared if both bedrooms occupied. You cannot imagine the charm of my little home-- people have loved the arm chair that's more than 100 years old.
Six minutes by taxi from Luton Airport. Middle of the night arrivals or departures accepted. Train station to London's St. Pancras International Station is 20 minutes walk, 5 minutes by taxi. The train takes 30 minutes,
Wifi, of course.
It helps that |I have a diploma as a Cordon Bleu cook. Help yourself to a cup of tea any time; otherwise no cooking.
The enormous garden is quite an attraction in summer. Guests have picked their own berries for breakfast. In winter, enjoy the wood-burning stove that keeps the place warm and cosy. The cat Cleopatra loves it.
Washing machine, iron, sewing kit available.
I have a car and experience in showing people around by special agreement.
Guests will have access to my beautiful garden, patio and summerhouse. They can prepare a light breakfast in the sunny kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
I love meeting new people and sometimes have students stay with me to study English.

We would like our guests to respect our home as we do
From the moment I stepped inside the house I knew this was going to be the best part of my trip to Luton. First of all, an absolutely stunning house. Very cosy, warm and relaxing, an English dream. I was welcomed with a cup of tea and was offered snacks as well. It had all the essentials needed and the room was lovely. Secondly, Cleopatra is amazing. However, the whole experience would not have been nearly as fantastic if it weren't for the host Anne. Helpful, welcoming, sunny, warm-hearted and well-travelled, lots of stories and opinions were exchanged. It was an amazing experience in all aspects. Would recommend and can't wait to visit again!
I highly recommend staying with Anne if you need somewhere in Luton. The house is clean, light and airy with a beautiful mature garden and the perfect place to relax. Anne made me feel very at home and was very kind in accommodating me around my work shifts. Great breakfast, some homemade treats and the affections of Cleopatra, Anne's cat all added to the appeal. I would definitely stay again.
We loved being in Anne`s place. We felt at home from the very first moment. Anne follows the best traditions of Bed & Breakfast. The garden is beautiful, the living room and the kitchen is nice and comfortable. We would go back any time.
This is a lovely place to stay if you have an early flight from Luton Airport. Host Anne is very accommodating and so is her cat Cleopatra. The house is nice and clean. Highly recommended!
Anne was a lovely host, she made me feel very welcome from the first moment I stepped through the door. I would definitely be visiting again if in the area. Thanks Anne, I loved my stay.
Siobhan stayed with Anne and is unable to fill out the review personally as she is in Romania and doesn't have access to wifi or Internet. I spoke to Siobhan and she let me know that the stay with Anne went really well and the accommodation was lovely.
