We had a great little escape from the city at Leslie's cabin. Everything was as described and more! Leslie was a great host, even meeting us for checkin after 9pm and showing us all the ropes. The cottage itself was perfect for two with great, well thought out amenities. Despite proximity to the main house, we had all the privacy we needed with a secluded back porch and hammock for afternoon siestas.

Our stay at Leslie's cabin was perfect! The cabin was quaint, cozy and the perfect size for two. The backyard was adorable and perfect for having a fire and watching the stars. Leslie herself has an amazing energy and made us feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as we arrived. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Leslie's place was immaculate and cozy. The BBQ worked well and the bed was so comfy. There was a sense of privacy on the back deck, however we were surprised at how close the guest cottage was to Leslie's home and to surrounding cottages. There was a party going on at one of the cottages close by when we arrived and the noise really travelled. Other than that we were quite pleased and found Leslie to be an excellent host.

Response from Leslie:
Thank you so much for staying, I work very hard to provide the best possible experience for my guests, everything from splitting and stacking the firewood to making sure the dishes sparkle. I do wish you had of told me (via text, phone, or airbnb message) about any noise, as I know all my neighbours in my small community. I would have been happy to ask them to keep the noise down on your behalf. As for the location, I do state in my listing "The main house is next door, and I give my guests quiet and privacy. Woodwind cabin and all it's amenities, are strictly reserved for your use." There are also photos in the listing from the interior windows to show the location of the house and parking area (Woodwind deck and hammock area is private). My neighbourhood description in my listing also gives an overview of what to expect the overall surroundings to be. I urge future guests to fully read the description, and examine the photos to make sure the booking will meet their needs and expectations for the perfect stay.

Leslie User ProfileLeslie is a superhost.

I am an artist from Muskoka. I love to travel to different shows to sell my work. I also enjoy my home life of relaxing and working on my house and in the studio. I like dogs, animals, and love nature in general. My favourite hobby now is my electric outboard wood boat. There is nothing like being out on the lake!

Originally, I started to rent Woodwind Cabin for fun, but soon realized how much people loved it. I am so happy my guests can connect with nature, relax, and enjoy my uncomplicated design. I did a complete restoration myself about 5 years ago, you could say it's a 'hand made' cabin!
