Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Yes, it’s a church. No, it’s not boring.

This former sanctuary has been reborn as a fun, unforgettable place to crash after big days and late nights. Set in Danville, VA, you’re minutes from Caesars Casino, Virginia International Raceway, and local bars—then back home to spread out, laugh loud, and enjoy a stay with serious personality. Perfect for race weekends, casino runs, and groups who like their getaways a little unconventional.

100% of the AirBnB proceeds go toward ongoing restoration.

The space
In the "City of Churches" the very first house of worship was constructed on this spot in the 1820's by the Presbyterians. Later in the 19th century, the Presbyterian built our amazing 9000 sqft Gothic Revival church.

You'll have access to 3 bedrooms... one was the former Pastor Study, the second part of the former Nursery and the third a former sitting room. Each bedroom has its own climate control and large light-filled broken arch windows.

The primary living space is 1500 sqft and served as the former Fellowship Hall. This space has a stage with a large 100" TV (that's right, 100"), ample seating, and even a bar (altar?).

The dining room comfortably seats 8-10 at the 11' table. There is plenty of other seating in the room as well.

The kitchen is massive and the counter space is overwhelming... typical of church kitchens designed to feed the masses. The appliances are brand-new (the fridge even makes ice cubes in multiple sizes!).

The sanctuary is not part of the listing, but we can show you around or grant access at your own risk. It's something special :)

... a space graced by the oldest organ in Danville, an almost 200-year-old bell with a place in history, and amazing stained glass windows that includes an 8' cylindrical rose glass window.

Guest access
You'll have complete access to all parts of the building minus the sanctuary currently under restoration. Although not part of the listing, feel free to reach out if you'd like to explore the sanctuary (at your own risk) and we can perhaps grant access!

Other things to note
All unapproved exorcisms will incur a $250 fee per demon, in addition to all costs associated with cleaning up ectoplasm and removing scorch marks.

Emotional Support Poltergeists (ESP) will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Born in the 70s
My work: Rockfish Ventures
Stationary nomad and punologist. Still in total denial of both being a Type A personality (no, I swear I'm laid back). Single dad of the world's best kid and the 3 of the most neurotic rescue dogs in the universe. Lover of all things Hawaii. Kauai things earn extra, extra credit of course. Try to make trips back annually when real life doesn't prevent it. Stoked to be able to offer Boogie Nights Manor- built by a prolific inventor and THE guy who invented the hotdog conveyer machine- to the first time to the public. It's such a cool house and it continues to evolve. The two tiny houses- The Big Tiny House and Rusty's Retreat- have been more popular than I ever could have imagined. AirBnB has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and the honor to provide thousands of folks a spot to rest their heads each evening has been equal parts fun and rewarding.
