Baroona is a listed Mansion of 14 rooms built in 1901 in the Federation Art Noveau style. It has been lovingly restored and two rooms downstairs are for airbnb guests. There is an adjoining new bathroom.

The mansion is very close to the adelaide CBD (about 4km) and the shopping precincts of Norwood and Stepney and Walkerville. Ten restaurants and 3 pubs within 4km. Bus service on next avenue but a taxi ride is $14 to the city.
Guest have their own kitchen upstairs which is modern and new witha wonderful view. This has a fridge , microwave toaster
The house has appeared on the television show of the national broadcaster called Whose been sleeping in my house? The house had a very important role in South Australian history. The program will air on April 19 2013.

Interaction with Guests
Depends on the guest. We generally have breakfast together and some time over weekend for a cup of tea. I work full time.
The neighbourhood has great wide streets, lots of trees and parks and is of historical significance. Close to the city , by bus as well on 6th ave. many historical houses and churches. Two supermarkets within 2 km and a great bakery n 7 th ave.

Other Things to Note
Great garden here with herbs and fruit which are shared with guests. Three apple trees 2 nectarines, orange quince, cherry, 2 apricot pear. Rosemary and bay bush. There are 400 irises in the garden best seen on October.

We have dogs Lagottos middle size breed.
No smoking in the house but outside ok
Comfortable accommodation, centrally located, easy walk to the Adelaide Oval, with a good choice of pubs for a beer and a meal on the way. Our host was helpful and friendly, as were her canine assistants.
Jennifer was very warm. We had breakfast together. Nice outdoor space and a very leafy suburb. Fantastic stay!

I am an academic Professor of Law at the largest university in South Australia . I am active with bush walking in the Adelaide hills I have a lot of information about the house, St. Peter's and Adelaide . I like jazz music singing, taking dogs to the beach gardening and travelling.
My family and I enjoy renovation of the house and the garden .
The dogs pedigree Lagottos (3) can be quarantined away from guests.
