Park Slope is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Brooklyn with its mix of ornate brownstones and a trove of wood frame houses, leafy tree lined streets, Olmstead's crown Jewel: Prospect Park, myriad restaurants and boutiques. Take a front row seat to the action as double stroller pushing organic moms collide on 7th Avenue with nose ringed ombre haired hipsters on their way to pull your latte at the local café. It's all here and more.

Finola is great. We were warmly welcomed and given bagels from around the corner upon our arrival. The apartment is beautiful, it was recently remodeled and is even better than it looks in the photos. Park Slope is a very convenient place to stay and the apartment is only two blocks from the subway and about two blocks from Prospect Park. We would definitely consider staying with Finola again if we make it back to Brooklyn.
Finola is a wonderful hostess. The apartment is awesome. Very clean and comfortable. I was working in the city and every night when I got back it was like be at home.
She gave me many tips about the area. They neighborhood is very cool and you can find many many things to do around. Great restaurants.
I highly recommend you to stay at their apartment. Trust me, you found a great place to stay in Brooklyn. Oh, I almost forgot about the warm bagels and other delicious treats she left for me as a welcome gift. Love it.
We were so pleased with this apartment. Great location, spotless, secure and convenient. Finola was super easy to communicate with and we were given privacy once we arrived. Apartment is stocked with plenty of cooking equipment and there was even Union Market coffee for us. I'd highly recommend this place for a visit to Park Slope!
Finola is a wonderful hostess!! The apartment was spectacular, spotlessly clean, and close to everything. Finola leaves an info sheet with all kinda of practical info for the out of towner. She gave us a thorough intro to the apartment and then gave us our privacy. We arrived at the apartment the second day to find fresh baked cookies, made by Finola and her daughter. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
I highly recommend finola's place. Great location, great apartment and finola is very willing to help in any way that she can. Plus,an adorable daughter so what else can you ask for. Place is perfect for a single or couple, and also works with a third (website hidden) daughter stayed a few nights and slept on sofa which worked fine for her. Place is spotless, kitchen well equipped and bed is very comfortable too. A few short blocks to subway and loads of places to get food or eat at.
The flat is great and very generous with extras. Wonderful
The reason that I do not give it 5 stars is that the double bed in the
bedroom is an American small double which is not really big enough for two people. One of us ended up sleeping on the couch. With
a change of dresser that didn't block bedroom door and bigger Queen bed the place would be perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at Finola's place. She was highly responsive and easy to communicate with and it was great knowing she was available if we needed anything. She gave helpful tips of local restaurants, train routes, etc. She even provided fresh coffee for the coffee machine and it was very much appreciated.
Her place is in a great location for exploring all of Brooklyn and it is also very convenient for trips into Manhattan as well. This quiet neighborhood has everything you might want in the case that you just need to stay in. The kitchen is great if you want to cook your own meals ( though we didn't, as there are so many good restaurant options just blocks away. ) The place has a desk, wifi, and a comfy couch, so I imagine it would make a excellent place for a business traveler to get work done too.
The place is well appointed, with mostly new furnishings, and it is tastefully decorated. I highly recommend it.
We loved our stay!! The apartment was perfect and very clean. Even though it is a garden level apartment it still was bright and airy with almost no outside noise. My husband especially loved the shower pressure where the towels were soft and thick.
The apartment is in a safe location so we felt comfortable coming to our "home" after dark. It is very close to the subway which can take you anywhere in NYC with very few transfers. We purchased a 7 days unlimited rides MTA card and used it to explore areas all over the city. We took the bus a few times (covered by the card) so we could see areas above ground or to shorten the walk between sites.
There are small grocery stores everywhere from the corner deli, to "healthy" grocery stores, to a full sized grocery store (about 3 blocks away). One of my favorite places was the Bagel Hole a block away on 7th Ave. It was my time to eat a real NY style bagel and I did. Our hostess recommended an Italian restaurant called Bar Toto that had good food and reasonable prices. We ate there twice.
We came into Penn Station by Amtrak (from Michigan) and brought much of our food with us. I am on a restricted diet and having a full kitchen was exactly what we were looking for. There were plenty of cooking utensils. We found it easiest to take our lunches with us so that when we were hungry we didn't have to spend time looking for a place to eat. We ate on Staten Island near the free ferry, in Central Park, at a lovely table in front of the New York Library, and on a bench at Coney Island on a warm November day.
It was great having the owner of the apartment living right upstairs. Finola was very friendly and helpful. Her daughter was a joy to meet and discuss our favorite books.
I would recommend Finola's apartment.
We had a fantastic stay at Finola's place. The apartment is very clean, bright and well decorated and it is the perfect size for two people. Finola was an extremely helpful and gracious host, providing fresh coffee beans for grinding, milk and soda. The place is conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the 9th Street station and in the midst of a number of excellent restaurants and shops.
I highly recommend Finola's place.
Finola's place was stunning and one so well-furnished and spotless that I would be more than happy to live in it as my own home.
She was extremely communicative and provided everything I needed, including fresh coffee beans, soda, water and milk.
The place is in a lovely area of Park Slope and within 5-10 minutes' walk of two subway stations.
