The space

This is a 2 bedroom house, but the rooms are gracious and well proportioned. High ceilings, antique furnishings, and high level of detail make for interesting visual appeal. Layout, natural light, and relatively large rooms contribute to a soothing and pleasant living space. Additional deck, front porch with chairs, and hot tub extend living outdoors. Fully equipped kitchen, individual room heating/cooling, and energy independence round out the house.

You will have the full house, including deck and hot tub. Full use of kitchen, appliances, washer/dryer ( hospital style ozonator eliminates need for laundry detergent) Wifi, Netflix on the TV ( Roku). Note it is 2 bedroom, 1 bath house, with the bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms on the second. An extra guest could sleep on the living room floor or couches in a pinch, no extra charges.

Excellent Airbnb! I can see why it's always booked solid. The spa shower/bathroom, gourmet kitchen, and hot tub on the deck will have you thinking you are staying at a rich relative's house. Host went out of his way to make me and my pup feel at home. He left great suggestions for nearby places to eat, including MarieBette Bakery just down the street, Ace Biscuit & BBQ right around the corner, and Shenandoah Joe's Coffee not too far--all stellar! Wish I had time to stay longer and try the other recommendations.

We booked Scott's abode as our home away during my sister's wedding in Charlottesville. While in walking distance to amenities such as coffee, restaurants, and shops, the home entices one to stay in and relax, and in our case, was a nice retreat from the festivities of a wedding weekend. We found that most of where we needed to go was within a half mile walk, and we used Uber for all else, averaging only $6 per trip. I hope to return in the winter and make use of the jacuzzi in the back patio. I highly recommend this listing and can't think of a downside. Thanks Scott!

My dog, 4-month-old daughter and husband (fellow UVA alum) had a wonderful stay! The house was very well equipped and Scott was very generous and responsive. There is an adorable bakery and cafe one block away and other restaurants and shops walkable. Parking was very easy and we loved being so close to campus and the downtown mall. Would definitely stay here again!

Scott was very friendly, kind, and easy to communicate with. The house itself is in a great location, walkable to many great sites. The house is very charming and comfortable. We had a very comfortable stay there! If we came back to Charlottesville we would love to stay again.

A beautifully decorated home and I appreciate the effort to be environmentally sustainable as well. Although on a major street, the neighborhood is quiet and very convenient to Downtown Mall. Awesome choice of place to stay while in Charlottesville and the host(s) were very responsive to any questions and very welcoming!

We are a nurse, and psychologist in Charlottesville. We own several types of rental properties, so are used to meeting the needs of guests. Having lived here since 1974, I can probably provide (or research) questions about the area. Our current listing is a 1900s house that we extensively renovated, doing all the work ourselves over the last 4 years ( and yes we are still happily married). Cleaning up now for guests on a Friday seems like a picnic compared to pulling off old plaster walls!
