I had a very nice stay at Patrick's! I met him shortly before I left but the house was full of very nice people and Patrick was very helpful. I enjoyed the experience. The place is very close to a wonderful waterfall too.
We wound up not staying at Eden in Uvita but this is because it was a little more open to nature and other people than we expected. However, the place could be an intriguing spot for people interested in seeing the evolution of an eco-structure and living open with nature. I'll start with this perspective and then wind up with ours. The structure is evolving and is definitely created with the idea of being in harmony with nature. There are many hammocks around for people to sleep in and when we arrived there were about 5 young men and women there (early to mid 20s), who were in town for a festival and sleeping at night in the hammocks. There is a common kitchen that people can share and an indoor bathroom. There are also two bedrooms, although we only saw the one that we were going to stay in. To get to the bedroom, you walk up a winding stairway that is actually outside the "house." This can be cool as long as you're aware of it but just as a caution could possibly be a little dangerous. The reason we didn't stay is that the room itself was a little too open for us -- we wanted a little more privacy. Right outside the front of the room (which does shut off, I think) is an open area -- open to nature and to a common area for other people. A few more pics might help here, so that people could have the visual. Other reviewers have mentioned that Patrick was very nice - a good person to talk with - but we didn't actually meet him and can't comment on this, although our email interactions were friendly. When we arrived, he had taken some guests on a hike to a nearby waterfall (which sounds nice). Overall, again, I think that quite a number of people might find this pretty cool -- back to nature -- and while we also appreciate back to nature, it was just a little too back to nature for us.
Had amazing weeks here. This is the place to start listened to your self in harmony with the nature.
I liked very much to stay to patricio'place. I think it's a good experience to live with him. If you want to dream of a another life you must go here. The house is open with vegetation tropical and all the time you understand the birds, monkeys in the beautifuls trees. The room is very good with private bathroom at the second floor. All the place is beautiful but it's very simple and don't hope to find luxe. It's the caracter of patricio who want to have a natural life. You learn a lot of thinks with patricio, it's a special and very sympathic men. I think perhaps he found the reality of the good life. No problem if you don'have car you can go in uvita walking but the beaches are a little far but Patricio help you. It's a very nice person who care and interest about you . So, i recommed this place ! Gracias patricio
