Excellently decorated 2 bedroom apartment in the very chic Eixample / Sant Antoni district of downtown Barcelona. The apartment has one large ensuite bedroom with a small handbasin & toilet in the bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed which consists of 2 single beds put together in a great Ikea -esque style, and lastly in the livingroom, there is a double sofa bed, so all in all, the apartment sleeps up to 6 people. The main bathroom has a large shower, WC and handbasin with mirror and hairdryer. The kitchen forms part of the livingroom and is fully equipped to make your stay that little bit easier. There is a microwave, coffee maker, fridge / freezer, toaster, juicer, kettle and a full selection of pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery etc etc so you can cook up some of the local cuisine. The livingroom opens out onto the small balcony with two nice chairs where you can sit down and enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening time. There is also a 40" LCD TV, some footlamps and a DVD player as well a wifi internet for the entire apartment.
The apartment is situated in a great neighbourhood with tons and tons of bars, reastaurants, supermarkets and local convenience stores and you are only a 10 minute walk away from the world famous Ramblas, La Boqueria, Barrio Gotico and Plaza Catalunya !
Closest metro is a 2 min walk from the apartment, which is called Sant Antoni on the purple line. The mero station Parallel is also no more than 5 min walk away.

We loved our stay at this apartment. The place is exactly as in the pictures. It was clean and well equipped. It's only a couple of minutes away from the metro and a maximum of 15 minutes walking distance from La Rambla. The neighborhood is relatively quite and we felt very safe. Killian and his partner (unfortunately forgot her name) were very helpful the entire time. He was kind enough to answer all my questions on how to get around and other logistical stuff that I asked before we traveled to Barcelona. His partner (again, forgot her name) checked us in and was very friendly and helpful too.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
My 4 colleauges and me stayed at Killian's apartment for a week and we all had only positive experience. Flat is small but comfortable for all of us and well equipped. Third floor and narrow staircase maybe is not very convenient if you have any leg problems, but for us it was ok.
Neighbourhood is multinational one, but we never feel ourselves unsafe there. Nearby there are many small shops where you can buy food and fruits and nice coffee bars to drink a first morning cup of coffee.
The apartment is in a good location for tourist tours. There is a metro station near the apartment but to the famous Ramblas or magical fountain you can walk, as we did several times.
Killian and his wife were very polite hosts.
Fully recommend Killian's apartment for anyone!
Die Wohnung ist schön, sauber und befindet sich in einer guten Lage. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und bei auftretenden Problemen sofort zur Stelle. Der Check-in hat reibungslos geklappt.
Diligent research took me to this nice apartment which included a
comfortable bed, double sized drench shower and big screen TV.
The small balcony overlooked the safe, non-touristy street below with 2 Metro stations either side, indoor food & clothing market nearby plus an abundance of lovely restaurants and bars.
A hot breakfast at the terrific 'Petit Iberic Bar' cnr of Manso/Viladomat is highly recommended before the days sightseeing and on returning you will be spoilt for choice with all the restaurants within easy reach.
Mention should also be made of the excellent hostess (Laura?) who was very helpfull. The added bonus here was meeting her 3 absolutely wonderful children and indeed, the whole experience of staying here will remain with me always.
I have never been made to feel most unwelcome before. My family, with 4 kids were made to wait on the street for 20 minutes despite my calls and texts to let them know when we were arriving. I understand that that she may have been held up but an apology would have been appreciated. She was rude and was in a big hurry to just get us to sign all the waivers and kept pointing out all the rules and how we would have to pay for damages or be evicted if we did not take care of the place. She definitely did not treat us like we were friends staying in their place which is the mantra of Airbnb. She also did not bother to tell us about her neighbourhood or recommend us anything despite us travelling a long way to visit Barcelona.
The unit was not clean. There was a dirty mop and pail left in the living room. The sink was not clean. The beds were not made and we had to set it all up ourselves. The photos are deceiving as the unit is really very small and will little light. Only one balcony that brings in light in the front room. The room at the back has another storage area which is cramped with old broken unwanted things and is not only unsightly but seems like a fire hazard.
I was prepared for the flights of stairs to get to the unit, but it did not realise how narrow and steep they were and when we came home at night, we would be fumbling in the dark with the kids for 2 flights before there is a light switch. Worst holiday stay ever. We had problems with the radiator and DVD player but Killian came when we were out and fixed it and he also came when we were checking out. He was much more pleasant, but his wife who did the checking already left such a bad taste for us. We had waited a long time to visit Barcelona, and it is sad that our memory of the city is marred by such an unpleasant AirBnb experience. I WOULD NOT recommend this place at all.
Hello Susan. We appreciate your feedback but feel that this comment is extremely unfair and unjust and paints an erroneous picture of our apartment. As you can read from all of the previous guests´ comments, the apartment is clean, tidy, well located and everybody was well received by either myself or Laura. I appreciate that on the day of your check in you had to wait 20 minutes at the door, but this in turn was no excuse to scream at Laura, put her down and to ask her to leave halfway through the check in. We apologised at the time for arriving late but i feel that this is not an excuse to be rude to us and to leave such a one-sided, biased comment online. How you can say that the apartment was not clean because there was a mop bucket and mop at the entrance is not fair, the stairs are in excellent condition with normal light switches and handrails up the apartment door. The building also has fire extinguishers and an emergency exit and is uptodate with local government requisites. Maybe this wasnt the right type of apartment for you and your family. I feel that maybe a hotel might have been a better option with daily cleaning, multiple elevators, room service and full 24 hour customer service at the hotel foyer. That said, i take on board your comments ; we are going to clean out the storage room out the back, make sure there are no mops at the entrance from now on, and put the duvets inside the duvet covers from now on. All the best from a very sunny & happy Barcelona ! Killian
Cosy nice apartment, perfect location. Killian was really flexible with the check in time which was important as we arrived quite late. Highly recommended.
Apppartement agréable bien situé, qui permet la visite de la ville à pied . Et si nécessaire, le métro est tout près (place Antoni) . Le quartier est agréable et la proximité des commerces est appréciable.
Séjour très agréable.

Fun loving & Hard Working. Have been living in Barcelona for nearly 10 years now, but have also lived in New York, London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich & Dusseldorf but have traded in everything for the beautiful weather and great food of the Mediterranean .
Have two beautiful kids ( aged 3 months and 2 years at time of writing ) and a fantastic girlfriend who looks after me ! Used to run a small record shop in Dublin for 6 years called Big Brother Records, so i´m an avid music fan, ex-DJ and part time vinyl collector.
Love doing maintaineance in apartments, painting, plastering, plumbing and generally fixing up things that are broken. Love cycling, eating out and traveling when i have some spare time.
