Our warm and comfortable guest house sits on 75 acres of natural mountain forest... replete with several brooks and lots of waterfalls!
A completely renovated century-old house, we are centrally located (just 12 miles from Montpelier, the capital city), and yet enjoy being "away-from-it-all".
This listing is for "guest room" options at "Three Covered Bridges Guest House & Retreat" listed elsewhere on this site.
We have 2 guest rooms in the main part of the house, on the second floor. Both rooms have a double bed, and share bath, kitchen, and living area (all on first floor) with the hostess and her 1 kitty.
The first floor bathroom has a claw-foot tub with shower curtain. (It requires stepping up into, and down out of, ... just to let you know!)
Price is per guest room, all inclusive non-holiday rates. (Note: Both rooms are not always available together.)
We can not do full breakfasts at this time, but coffee, tea, muffins or rolls, fruit & cereal are offered.
We call our place "Three Covered Bridges", because, If you head east off the mountain you will find:

Many towns with real old-fashioned Vermont flavor: Northfield, Barre,Plainfield, Randolph, and more can be explored from this side of the 'hill'.
Heading west off the mountain you'll find:
Sugarbush / Mad River / and Stowe ski areas close by (20-40 min.)
Fine dining restaurants, art gallerys, and many attractions such as Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory.
And you would head this way to visit Burlington, Vermont's largest town, on beautiful Lake Champlain (home of the University of Vermont) ...about 50 miles away.
You can also choose to just spend some quiet time here!
Enjoy a drink on the front porch and watch the moon rise over the distant mountain. Wake up to the soothing sound of the brooks and birds. Hike, read in the garden, or try your hand at birdwatching. In the winter, sledding and snowshoeing are fun right here on the property.

Booked last minute and Dawn was very accommodating and hospitable. She was very flexible to my arrival & departure schedule and gave great directions. The yellow room is great for one person--comfortable bed and beautiful shared bathroom. Stunning setting in the winter though I'm sure it's even better in the summer. I was able to get to Mad River Glen to ski in about 30 mins.
We stayed just for a night with Dawn and we couldn't have chosen a better place and a better host. She is the most hospitable person one could ever meet and her place is impeccable and if you need some quiet and peace, Three covered Bridges is the place to go to! We were extremely happy with our experience at Dawn Fagan's place.
