  • Oh my, I have never stayed at a place that looked BETTER than the pictures on the site! Giacomo and Rolly were the perfect hosts! The house was beautiful...inside was art and photographs and outside was the Tuscan hillsides. No matter where I was...it was breathtaking. A short walk down the winding road took us to Monica's, a small market where we could enjoy cafe Americano and pastries and get groceries for the day. We could get to Florence, Lucca and Pisa easily OR stay and enjoy the pool...a short walk up some mossy old steps lined with fragrant lavender. I awoke every day to the church bell tolling the time and a view of the hills that needed to be seen to be believed. Do people really get to see this every day? If you can stay here....DO IT!!!! I have never been to Italy, but, after this stay, I want to come back again....thank you, Giacomo and Rolly...you made me feel so welcome! I can't wait to come back!

  • Well organised and very good qualicty vs price!
The kitchen and livingroom are shared, it helps to get to know other people. Big kitchen table lets You have joint meal with aother guests.

We really liked the oriental design in the house. The room was the best we stayed in during our whole trip in Tuscany.

Thank You Giacomo and Rolly for the experience

  • It was really beautiful to stay at the stonehouse! As it was so hot we spent most of our time lounging at the pool and we even got to use the bbq once. The terrace was also great and you have a nice view from almost everywhere.
GIacomo was friendly and checked in to ask if everything was going well. Rolly helped us a lot with any questions we had.

We would definitely recommend the stonehouse and we hope to be able to come back!

  • Giacomo and Rolly's B&B is more like a guests house. Guests share the kitchen facilites, lounge room and outdoor areas which is a great way to meet new people. We met some great and interesting couples, all in their 20s, which made us like "house parents" as we are in our 50s. The bedroom an ensuite accommodation was comfortable. The location in the Tuscan hills is quiet and picturesque, but the heat in summer is fierce...bedrooms thankfully are air conditioned. A couple of warnings: the wifi is not reliable and only works in the small lounge area (mostly). The whole site is very steep and sloping with lots of stairs both inside and out, and the road in is very narrow and steeply winding as well. It could be hard to find as there is no sign on the roadway, just a small street number. The pool is unfenced....not perhaps a suitable place for children. If you are fit, reasonably young and don't mind sharing a kitchen, this is a great place.

A few corrections to the review. 1. we never said it is a B&B. 2. the heat in summer is not fierce, nights in the Tuscan hills are very pleasant and windy. Alison has been there during the hottest August week. 3. The house is frequented by people of all age and parents with children as well. 4. We have many photos which show that the pool is not fenced. 5. Alison did not read house rules where we state that we wanted wi fi only in the lounge because we want people to meet and socialize and not to sit in corners holding their ipads! 6. House can be found with gps and we give detailed directions on how to get to us with the voucher which Alison forgot to print out. 4. Yes winding roads and steps to move around on the terraces with olive trees to reach the top where the pool with the view on the valley is located! Isn't that Tuscany? This is not flat Australian country side more familiar to Alison, we are sorry! And the way the wi fi is reliable despite the fact that we live in the country side!!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Giacomo's house! Both Rolly and Giacomo are very friendly and helpful. House is ideally located to explore Tuscany and has a very peaceful setting for winding down and relaxing among likeminded people. We went for a wine tasting organized by Giacomo and enjoyed it a lot! It is a place where one will come back and feel home from the very first minute!

  • This house has been restored and decorated with great attention to detail and personal taste. The overall impression is personal, attentive, comforting, relaxed and very, very friendly. It is not typical Italian, but radiates an international atmosphere. The rooms are small but full of comfort: the best shower we had in Italy, aircondtioning etc. Another great idea is the shared area downstairs where the guests share a kitchen, fridge and WiFi. The garden offers a similar area suitable for lounging, reading or sharing thoughts with the classy international crowd that feels attracted to this welcoming place. Walking up the steep hill there is a small pool, offering an even better view over the valley, surrounding hills and spectacular sunsets. Recommended.

  • Rolly and Giocomo were very helpful hosts. They helped us organising wine tasting, reservation in the restaurant across the road, shopping, etc. We especially liked the two dogs :-). Our room was cute and clean. We also enjoyed the discussions with the other guests in the evenings.
The house is in a beautiful surrounding, very calm and relaxing. We could not have asked for more.
