Check In
  • The old stone house is ideally located north of Florence in a beautiful landscape. Vinci and Empoli, as well as Lamporecchio are only a few minutes by car away.
The house is well equiped with all the necessary items you need for a great stay. The great terrace offers even a bbq, the pool invites for some refreshing moments.

Giacomo and Rolly are nice fellows that help you with all the small and bigger issues that occure.
There is a simple, but great restaurant in walking distance down the street, which offers great italian food.

So all in all, the old stone house (email hidden) to spend a couple of days in tuscany and we enjoyed our stay there very much.

  • Our stay in Tuscany was fantastic! Giacomo and Rolly were wonderful hosts. The place is amazing from inside to outside. It is beautifully decorated with unique pieces of art and photographs of Giacomo's work. Outside the view from the terrace is the typical Tuscany postcard view, rolling hills, olive trees, vineyards, colorful villas tucked into the side of the hill. The accomodations are very nice and the outdoor space with the terrace and poolside patio is plentiful, all offering fantastic views! Close to Vinci and Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Cinque Terre and Siena are farther but are definitely do-able. Wonderful!

  • We had a great time at the Stone Cottage! We met lovely people and Rolly was full of great info and tips! We wee sorry we didn't get to meet Giacomo but hopefully next time. The rooms were lovely and we were so impressed with the views. However be aware the drive is not for faint of heart! The explicit directions that Giacomo sent are exact. My husband has experience on hilly roads so we were set! It is Tuscany so expect twists and turns on the road! Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio and relax!! Can't wait to get back!

  • We had a great stay at Giacomo's place in Tuscany. We were actually met by Rolly who was extremely friendly and helpful (Giacomo was away during our stay) showing us around the house and suggesting places to visit for day trips.

We drove to the place from Rome and had little difficultly finding the house using a combination of GPS and Giacomo's detailed instructions. The house itself is quite large and situated on the side of one of the Tuscany hills with a lovely view of the valley below. It has several rooms with a large communal kitchen and sitting room. During our stay we were the only guests so not sure how it is when it is fully occupied.

While the location might seem remote for some, the area is absolutely stunning and it is very well located for those who wish to take day trips to towns such as Vinci (10 minutes away) or San Gimignano (one of Rolly's great suggestions) which was about a 90 minute drive.

We would definitely stay again if ever back in Italy. Thanks Rolly! ( and Giacomo).

  • We had a great time at the old stone house. Well renovated rooms with modern amenities. Rolly was very helpful with all our needs. We also made new friends with the two other couples who were staying there at the same time.

  • This place is truly amazing. The view in the house and in the area is spectacular, you can really experience the life in tuscany. The decor of the house is really nice. The bed, lounge area are very comfortable that makes you feel you just want to stay inside instead. Bathroom and especially the shower are really nice.

What makes the place more special is the hospitality of Giacomo and Rolly. They helped us in all aspects and really want us to enjoy our stay in italy by giving helpful guide on our vacation.

We will definitely recommend this place and will surely go back.
