I'm renting out a room in my apartment in Taksim, the heart of the city. The flat is located in the centre of Beyoglu, the Cukurcuma dirstrict. Its a really charming area, which is also a favourite place for artists..You are surrounded by lots of galleries, antique stores, fashion stores, great restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars and night clubs, close enough to walk to, but not too close to hear any noise. It takes only two minutes to walk to Istıklal Street.
The apartment is located on the third floor. It has one living room with an open kitchen and a bedroom with a double bed. The flat takes the daylight inside and I have some plants, so it has fresh atmosphere.. There is 24hr hotwater in the nicely designed bathroom. We will share bathroom and kitchen. I am living also in this apartment, you can use my Computer to check the Internet. An Istanbul Kart, to be loaded for cheap and easy transportation is available at the flat. Bed sheets and towels are included in the price as well as the cleaning fee and other charges. You are welcome to use the iron, and hair dryer.
Neighborhood is safe, with lots of tourists during the day but not crowded like Taksim Square, and is exciting with its vibrant narrow streets to be discovered.
I can give you a lot of useful informations about the City and looking forward to hosting you at my home!

Sofia was an awesome host! Caring, giving us so many tips, showing us amazing places for breakfast. She is a lovely person and excellent host! I would recommend everyone this great host and apartment! Location is very good as well. But most of all we loved talks about life during the breakfast:)

I have nothing but praise for Sofia and her apartment. Very chill neighborhood, but close to everything. The apartment was clean and had plenty of room with a great terrace and view. Sofia was super cool, with great recommendations, she really helped make it a fantastic trip!
We has a great time in Istanbul, and the apartment of Sofia had a lot to do with the quality of our stay!
Sofia wasn't there during the stay, but she let us her flat and a very nice friend of her took care of us.
The flat was clean and we felt very welcome.
Also it's a very nice neighbourhood!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Sofia's for a weekend. It's probably one of the best places and greatest hosts you can find in the city.
Sofia's place exactly matches the photos and description. You'll find yourself staying in a nice clean one-bedroom apartment with all the comfort you may need.
But the apartment’s greatest asset is the owner. Sofia is an incredible host, going out of her way to make your stay the best possible experience. She’s fun, very responsive and incredibly helpful.
We’ll be more than happy to book again with Sofia, if we have the opportunity.
Sofia is an absolutely wonderful woman and host. She took truely care about myself, gave useful recommendations about where to go in Istanbul and I absolutely loved our conversations. Sofia, dankeschön! Definitely recommend to stay at her place!
My second stay with Sofia. Had another great time in this pretty, perfectly located flat. Sofia has excellent taste in chocolate and is very generous. We'll be back next year! Thanks again Sofia!
My fiancée and I spent nearly a week with Sofia at her lovely apartment and left Istanbul with heavy hearts - because we sincerely had one of the most incredible Airbnb host experiences with Sofia, and were sorta sad to leave. From the start she made us feel at home, and gave us recommendations to all of her favorite places in town (each one was fantastic, by the way). But the icing on the cake was when she offered to give me one of her Turkish towels because I failed to track down a similar version. Only a supremely rad person would offer to give such a beautiful towel to a person who was a complete stranger a week ago. Seriously, she rule.
Anyway, now that this is getting to novel lengths - all you need to know is that Sofia is one of the kindest souls you will encounter, who radiates positive energy that makes you want to be around her all day. My only complaint was that we didn't get to spend much time with her (due to her work schedule/our tourist schedule) - but we'll be back one day. And until then, you should certainly stay with her. Because you'd be a fool not to.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
