This is the true Costa Rica as you are in the countryside where the Costa Rican's live-not in the middle of town. The meaning of "Pura Vida" is embodied in this property and is for you to enjoy to the fullest!
The Villa Hermosa is a private guesthouse located in the countryside of La Fortuna. The main guesthouse consists of one large master suite with a King bed and a Queen bed that sleeps a maximum of 4, a master bath, outdoor living area, dining room, bar, kitchen & BBQ. There is separate room, not connected to the main guesthouse called the Villa Toucan that has a Queen Bed, Double bed & en-suite bathroom. The property is 1 acre and has a private pool, large outdoor patios, hammock house, frog pond, fruit trees, tropical gardens and meandering pathways.
Many birds & other animals call this home so our guests love sitting on the patio watching the birds come to the many feeders or plantains hanging in the trees. This guesthouse is designed for relaxing and having private time with loved ones. Many families enjoy having quality time playing in the pool, playing horseshoes out on the lawn or board games on the dining table. Honeymooners & couples book here for the ultimate private experience and personal service. The caretaker lives on-site so if you need anything she's available but knows how to give you absolute privacy!
Because the guesthouse is located in the countryside, it is recommended that the client have a rental car as shuttles/public transport does not come to this neighborhood. The guesthouse is located about 20 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, 5 minutes to The Springs Resort & Spa and 5 minutes from a small Tico town called Monterrey off highway 4.
Everything is here for you to enjoy!
Interaction with guests
I interact with my guests as much or as little as they want! Don't want to see me for 7 (URL HIDDEN) problem! Want to chat with me every day, whatever you want. :-)
Other things to note
We have dogs but they stay around our house and are fenced to not disturb you. Of course if you'd like to come visit for some "fur therrapy", you are more than welcome!
The #1 rule is to relax and enjoy this little piece of paradise! We ask that you treat our house as you would your own. Smoking is allowed in outdoor living areas away from the furniture, not in the bedroom or bathroom.
Originally from Southern California, I moved here in 2009 and just LOVE living in paradise! The Costa Ricans (known as "Ticos") are some of the friendliest people I've met in the world which makes living here a true pleasure. For more information please go to our website at
