About This Listing
The apartment 'Tiberino 2', 70 sq mt, very spacious and luminous, is located in the Jewish Ghetto, in Piazza delle Cinque Scole, which is considered one of the most trendy and lively areas of Rome due to the myriad of restaurants, enoteche, bars, cafe on open air, artisans, and due to the location so close to Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia. The apartment, located at the mezzanine floor (not many climbing stairs) of a XVII Century building, is 'brand new' (remodeling works finished Jan 2009) elegantly furnished with some modern and antiques furniture and is very well connected with public transportation to Central Termini Station. Belong to the property a fantastic big 'secret' garden (is not accessible directly from the apartment, needs to go out the front door and use a next door private gate) where you can enjoy a glass of wine or just the greenery and the freshness of the palms....hard to believe that you are just in the very centre of ancient Rome....
If you are a group up 11 you can consider both units TIBERINO 1 and TIBERINO 2 we say "attached" as they are next to each other.
The location is in the very heart of Rome Jews Ghetto and Rome's Jews have been living in this neighborhood for 22 centuries, giving birth to the only Jewish community to be present always in the same place before the Diaspora. At few steps from the apartment you will be able to visit the magnificent Synagogue, which was built from (phone number hidden) and is a unique Persian and Babylonian architectural design, that contrasts with the rest of the city, like the next door ancient Theatre of Marcellus, which was build in honor of Marcus Marcellus, the nephew of Emperor Augustus. Crossing Ponte Fabricio you will reach in few minutes the trendy and lively Trastevere. All around the apartment you will find a myriad of restaurants, for any types of taste and budget, kosher restaurants (like the famous Gigetto al Portico d’Ottavia, famous for the 'Artichoke alla judia') Roman and ethnic restaurants, enoteche, bakery (don’t forget to taste the famous Pizza Giudia) and delicious gelato. The apartments are very well connected with public transportation to Central Termini Station (bus n. 64 and n. 40 stop in Largo Argentina) and from the Station a train or bus will connect you to Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport.
Keywords: Luxury flat in the center of the city, condo, elegant, two attached units in the same building, on the same floor. Indipendent entrance.
Great location and nice apartment...exactly as described. No complaints whatsoever! Stayed there with 2 of my sons (16 & 14 years old) and we couldn't have been happier. Very conveniently near several bus stops (gave us lots of options getting home when we were tired of walking), but a very quiet spot when it was time to settle down.
We walked everywhere from this neighborhood, including into Trastevere and of course all the sites.
Was clean throughout, the beds were fine and the shower was outstanding. Had everything you would need to prepare and serve meals in the apartment, with a small grocery store right around the corner. And of course lots of nice restaurants too...
I highly recommend it to families coming to Rome!
We just returned from our trip to Rome, the apartment was perfect for our family. We are 2 adults and 3 children. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The location was also perfect as we wanted to be near the Jewish Ghetto area. It's also very close to all the major points of interest in the city. While the weather outside was a bit chilly at night, the apartment was warm and cozy. The manager arranged for transportation from and to the airport which was extremely helpful.
We look forward to staying there again!
We just spent 3 days in this simple but well done appartment. The good points: 2 big bedrooms, well equipped kitchen (with dishwash!) and a cosy living room with comfortable sofas on which you can chill after a loong day walk! This appartment is just perfectly situated. In a pretty quiet area but surrounded with nice restaurants, you can reach all top sites to be visited by walking! We have been fantastically welcomed at our arrival! (Again many thanks fabiano!) We strongly recommend this adress. Once again thank you!
Great location close to all must visit sites. No issues with the host. They arranged a shuttle to the airport.
Our Family of 5 - 3 adults and 2 teenagers, really enjoyed this apartment! The neighborhood was quiet, the jewish ghetto area., but we walked to everything- Colosseum, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain(which is under renovation now), Pantheon, and transverse area. The well stocked grocery was just a couple blocks away.
Gariella was great at communicating back and forth. She arranged our taxi from the airport , to the cruise ship and then cruise ship to the airport!!
Definately would stay hear again the next time in Rome.
