About This Listing
The apartment 'Tiberino 2', 70 sq mt, very spacious and luminous, is located in the Jewish Ghetto, in Piazza delle Cinque Scole, which is considered one of the most trendy and lively areas of Rome due to the myriad of restaurants, enoteche, bars, cafe on open air, artisans, and due to the location so close to Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia. The apartment, located at the mezzanine floor (not many climbing stairs) of a XVII Century building, is 'brand new' (remodeling works finished Jan 2009) elegantly furnished with some modern and antiques furniture and is very well connected with public transportation to Central Termini Station. Belong to the property a fantastic big 'secret' garden (is not accessible directly from the apartment, needs to go out the front door and use a next door private gate) where you can enjoy a glass of wine or just the greenery and the freshness of the palms....hard to believe that you are just in the very centre of ancient Rome....
If you are a group up 11 you can consider both units TIBERINO 1 and TIBERINO 2 we say "attached" as they are next to each other.
The location is in the very heart of Rome Jews Ghetto and Rome's Jews have been living in this neighborhood for 22 centuries, giving birth to the only Jewish community to be present always in the same place before the Diaspora. At few steps from the apartment you will be able to visit the magnificent Synagogue, which was built from (phone number hidden) and is a unique Persian and Babylonian architectural design, that contrasts with the rest of the city, like the next door ancient Theatre of Marcellus, which was build in honor of Marcus Marcellus, the nephew of Emperor Augustus. Crossing Ponte Fabricio you will reach in few minutes the trendy and lively Trastevere. All around the apartment you will find a myriad of restaurants, for any types of taste and budget, kosher restaurants (like the famous Gigetto al Portico d’Ottavia, famous for the 'Artichoke alla judia') Roman and ethnic restaurants, enoteche, bakery (don’t forget to taste the famous Pizza Giudia) and delicious gelato. The apartments are very well connected with public transportation to Central Termini Station (bus n. 64 and n. 40 stop in Largo Argentina) and from the Station a train or bus will connect you to Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport.

The flat was perfect for our needs and everything worked well, especially the air conditioning. And having access to a garden was a real perk for Rome's hot nights. The location is awesome - a short walk from the majority of Rome's most famous sites & excellent restaurants
Gabriella was there when we arrived, and made sure there were no issues with appliances or entry. She and Fabiano were very responsive and helpful during our stay. Not only was the location excellent for its proximity to a number of important sites by foot, but also it was also well situated for public transit. The best of all was that it was in a pedestrian piazza and so very quiet to sleep at night! In central Rome and having a quiet night's sleep, how great is that!! I would definitely stay there again.
The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. The neighborhood has many restaurants, coffee shops, and a good fruit market. The apartment is very secure, and the neighborhood is quite safe. The kitchen is well equipped for eating in, though with so many lovely restaurants, we ate in only one night. It was wonderful to have excellent air conditioning during the very hot weather, and the security blinds make for easy sleeping and keep the apartment secure and cool during the day when you're out.
The location is great for walking to many of the historic sites and is right near the river. Communication with Fabiano & Gabriella was quick and easy. They answered all questions and were very helpful.
We would recommend this apartment to friends and family.
Great experience staying in this apartment. Wifi was excellent, working AC, washing machine, shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure, and the garden is beautiful. The area is perfect for sightseeing and Fabian is a truly excellent host/concierge. He was able to get us a car to and from the airport as well as make several recommendations. Wonderful stay.
Absolutely great AirBNB experience and I would recommend the apartment to just about anyone. The location is very convenient for the centro storico in Rome. Communication with Gabriella and Fabiano was comprehensive and prompt. They arranged for a ride from the airport, and also graciously arranged a ride for us get to Termini at the end of our stay.
The apartment is clean, well-appointed, and simple, and accommodated us perfectly. My one (slightly) negative comment is there is a very slight smell of old smoke which I don't hold against them - "NO SMOKING" signs are clearly posted, and I'm guessing they had a poor experience with a previous AirBNB renter, for which I'm sorry. Between the great location, the reasonable cost, and the very helpful nature of the hosts, I have no hesitation saying that I'm glad we stayed here, and strongly recommend the property as a great place to stay. Basically, this was a better overall experience than many hotels I've stayed at in Rome.
Host was very helpful. Arranged pick up from airport. Apartment is located in a Jewish quarter, very quiet yet central location, one can walk everywhere. Apartment has everything the traveler needs, including voltage converter to charge phones etc. my family love the place and strongly recommend to others.
Also cousin of the host was available on site and helped us around, for instance, he was so kind as to walk me to the closest grocery store and waited until I am done to walk me home on our first day. We really enjoyed our stay.
The only complaint we had that one of the bathrooms had unpleasant smell of sewer.
