The Space

I'm managing my friend's apartment in the heart of the Raval district. Full of charm, the typical modernista floors, high ceilings and original exposed beams give it that authentic Barcelona look. Please make use of the library of books (including learning spanish) and yes, you may use the guitar!

Guest Access

This private apartment features:
-Double bedroom (140cm foam mattress), exterior window to the back.
-Lounge, reading corner and dining area.
-Equipped kitchen, bar counter with stools.
-Modern bathroom with shower, WC separate.
-Wifi internet.
-Cold Air Conditioning and heating (radiators).

Interaction with Guests

I am available for queries during the stay.

The Neighborhood

The apartment is located in Raval and bordering the ever trendy brunch café district of Sant Antoni (recommendations on arrival). You are 5 minutes walk from the historic Sant Antoni marketplace.
Plaça Catalunya, the Ramblas, Plaça Espanya and Barrio Gotico are all within 10 minutes walk. The nearby Joaquim Costa street offers Barcelona's coolest bars, leading to MACBA; a must for modern art lovers and skaters.

Getting Around

The nearest metro is Plaça Universitat (purple and red lines) or Sant Antoni (purple line). Bus no.64 takes you directly to the beach at Barceloneta. The Aerobus from either terminal stops at Plaça Universitat. The best way to get around is on foot, or by renting bikes. If you are interested in studying Spanish during your stay, Linguaschools offer cheap bike rental along with their month courses (bike rental 60€ per month).

Other Things to Note

-Raval is a gritty, ethnic hub in Barcelona and is slowly shedding its old "ghetto" reputation. It is my favourite neighbourhood but it is not for everyone. You can expect hustle and bustle in the area but no street or traffic noise in the apartment.
-The balcony faces an interior patio and therefore no views.
-Smoking allowed on balcony only.
-The exact address and arrival instructions are detailed on your booking confirmation when you book.
